55 mins is definitely possible, the alliance I'm in [SMS] has cleared it that fast before, plus we've done around 57-59 mins quite a bit. Just 3 days ago there was a 57 minute run. Physicals ftw

it's totally possable my alliance does in about 1hour Hm.

So your Alliance can do a FoW run with heroes in 55 minutes. I would like to see the build. I have shaved my run down to an hour and fifteen with heroes.

It's pretty clear what he said - you can open chests with Heroes. Could you elaborate, how? The same way one could make heroes pick up flags/other bundles in missions, so Rangers/Warriors/paragons/assassin's wouldn't suffer because of not having a weapon.
T1Cybernetic
What he means is if you open the smaller chests when you complete quests you dont get anything some times if the heroes are in range, so if you flag them away and then open it you get the item, all being well.

It was quite a nice surprise... give it a try. to comfirm- you can clear the WHOLE FoW in NM(for sure) with sin (and pretty much anyother profession since a sin can....)
killed everything jsut died cuz i didnt pay attetion+alt-tabed thought griffons wont get damged lol... silly me -_-'

actauly... i found them easy to kill o.O honestly, like if a sin +sabway+3monks can clear FoW, anyone can
zDaniel365z
obsi flesh only repells magic, sins attack using physicals, even though crappy damge do to the fact they now have extra armor, but since a sin is fast+splinter weapon.. they go down fast (note kill the monk first )
wouldnt be surprised if they nerfed Sabway soon ... realy they nerf EVERYTHING thats good ( and their anti-farming which is sad cuz WoW doesnt care if you farm or not... tehy actauly support farming -_-'...and WoW is shit... so GW is eventauly going to sink lower if they dont stop nerfing shit just cuz we went to speed up the process of getting something.........)

So has anyone actually soloed FoW from start to finish with just three heroes?
The entire game is easy with two humans and six heroes, it is simply a full team where six players are not relying on overpowered PvE skills. Especially with consumables.
I've been trying to do UW with three heroes, but the Four Horseman quest kills me as it's not possible to split OR to defend at the reaper. Maybe I should have a go at FoW instead.

why would you want to solo it with just 3 heros? whats teh point in that? just clear it with enough force and thats its o.O i doupt taht sabway will just as is... still 90% of the time the heros all had above 95% health..... a few times they did fall down to 10% health (2 heros actauly died.... but its all good =D) so i would asume taht you wont get to clear the shore since theres one group that has 2monk1mesmer 1-2 warriors and 1-2 beasts (shadow....) and =/ thats just my opinion =| also clearing it with just 3 heros, is an extra amount of useless work.... so what if you did it? (congrates it will give you a bragging rights on an online game... ooooo)

The challenge, of course.
And sabway is unlikely to be nerfed. You guys overestimate how good it is - it relies on a constant supply of exploitable bodies to work. It's great in places like Dalada Uplands, but try it in Hells Precipice, Kathandrax, or anywhere there aren't many exploitable bodies but a lot of AoE damage.
It doesn't work that great in UW either, to be honest.

=| i faced the skeleton army there wasnt any corpes... still worked fine o.O but true without corpes + alot of AoE 3 sabways will die hence you need some monk heros to back up....
as for the challenge, i rather challenge my self in creating a game rather then challenge my self in a game created x.X seriously making it (even failing at it but still going....) if way more fun the playing it ...
i cant say i dont play for the challange cuz... i do set tasks for my self to complete (ei. getting obby armor for sin....which now i am starting to reconsider) but i rather do my programming assignments over playing GW ... o.O i just play it to kill time/relaxe and kill people O.o' (you can ignore the last 2 paragraphs ... as its only my opinion =P read the first on its the only one that mattters on this forums)

My favourite kind of builds are those that fail at failing.
The dudes cleared FoW. How did you conclude that being successful at what one wanted to do equals failing? Some people need a way to make themselves feel better. So why not put someone down? At least this way we'll give the false impression we're pro!!! I mean who needs these efficient skill bars and Ursan anyways? Certainly not me. I'm better then that. I'll show you all! /sarcasm

I tried in last night, actually. I haven't gone thorugh the entire thing, though. It was mostly to test out a build I put together. The quests that I did complete are the first two and "Army of Darkness". I got D/C and couldn't reconnect at that point. I'm pretty certain I can go through the entire dungeon. The main problem I see would be the Obsidian Drakes and possibly Armoured Cave Spiders.
Anyways, here's the build I tested.
[Build prof=Mo/Me Divine=10+1 Protection=11+1+3 Inspiration=10][Dismiss Condition][Mantra of Inscriptions][Blessed Signet][Protective Spirit]["Finish Him!"][Divine Boon][Life Barrier][Rebirth][/Build]
I have not tried "Finish Him!" yet. I suspect it will more better when dealing with monks. I had remove hex instead. If you want more healing, then I would recommend dropping "Finish Him!" with Mend Condition.
[Build prof=E/Me Storage=8+1 Air=12+1+3 Inspiration=10][Lightning Surge][Lightning Orb][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Enervating Charge][Ether Feast][Mantra of Frost][Power Drain][Air Attunement][/Build]
[Build prof=E/Me Storage=8+1 Air=12+1+3 Inspiration=10][Lightning Surge][Lightning Orb][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Shell Shock][Ether Feast][Mantra of Frost][Power Drain][Air Attunement][/Build]
Note: Lightning Hammer can be used and can prove to be more useful. My preferance is Lightning orb due its lower energy cost and additional Cracked Armour condition.
[Build prof=R/Me Expertise=10+1 Wilderness=10+1 Marksmanship=7+1+1 Inspiration=10][Apply Poison][Distracting Shot][Savage Shot][Throw Dirt][Ether Feast][Epidemic][Winter][Greater Conflagration][/Build]
I'd higly recommend the Hydromancer Insignia for the two Ele heroes and Frostbound for the Ranger hero. Wander's Insignia for yourself.
For weapons, I'd get an air staff for the Ele heroes with and Insightful head and either a +30 hp or +7 armour (vs elemental damage) wrapping. I would not recommend using a HCT for air magic because that messes up the Ligthning Surge/Lightning Orb timing. A HRT would be a much better insignia. As for the Ranger hero, I'd recomment a "lengthens poison duration" string and either a +30 hp or a +7 armour vs elemental damage.
"What? No hex removals?!" I did have remove hex prevously but found that it wasn't really necessary. Remember that Life Barrier reduces ALL damage by, in this case, 50%
I don't think I need to go into the details of how this build works; it's pretty self explanitory. All physical and elemental damage is converted to cold damage. Heroes have armour vs cold. Life Barrier reduces all damage by 50%, Mantra of Frost reduces cold damage by 42%.
Awesome. So what problems did I encounter?
Wild Blow used by the Skeletal warriors.
Note I did not use Throw Dirt in the couple of runs I did. I had Pyre use Mantra of Forst instead. Rough calculations indicate that the damage taken by both an Ele with Hydromancer's and Mantra of Frost and a Ranger with Frostbound are about equal. Therefore, I figured Throw Dirt would be a more useful skill for Pyre.
Shatter Enchantment.
Few enemies use it, and since you have only four bonds, you shouldn't find this a problem.
Nature's Renewal & Primal Echoes.
Know where the Armoured Cave Spiders spawn. Pull the Shepards and have your heroes take them out while you are out of their range. Although not required, you can micro-manage your Ranger hero to cast his/her spirits out of the Shepards' range and stand away from them to avoid them getting hit by Chain Lightning. Even without Winter, you should have no problems with their Air spells; Life Barrier does a superb job at reducing damage. Once the Shepards and Spiders are down, get rid of your bonds and kill the Spirit Woods. There are really easy and require no bonds/defense whatsoever.
Two Monks.
They can be a pain. Focus on one and try to disable his Word of Healing. "Finsh Him!" will help alot, I expect.
Obsidian Drakes.
Since Obsidian Flesh doesn't last forever. They'll eventually go down... :/
Seeds of Corruption.
Lingering Soul is a very nasty spell. I'd recommend clearing the cave before taking the quest that involves them. Haven't encountered them yet using this setup.
Chilblains.
I belive only the Dragon Lich uses this spell. Since his normal attacks are powerful, it makes Chilblains even more deadly. I'd recommend watch the field and using Protective Spirit on the Hero he heads to. The AI, however, does a good job at interupting a lot of his spells
Pyre using Epidemic on an enemy when he's/it's the only one left :/
The Ele heroes using Lightning Orb then Lightning Surge :/
Among other silly things...
I will hope to complete FoW with heroes at some point. Last night was my first time in the forest area. The only other time I've been in FoW was to get my Obsidian Armour about 2 years ago. If any of you are up to the challenge, good luck and have fun!

It doesn't work that great in UW either, to be honest. well I wouldn't expect anyone to take it to an area where there are no corpses
but you can take sabway into 90% of areas and just clear them, if you want to swap out the n/rt healer for an ele/monk ether renewal healer and watch that hero run with perma-energy and spam heals for the fun of it lol

Have you been in burning forest? There's masses of mahgo hydras, ancient scales and those healers (forgot name). So you're going to face meteor showers, ALOT of degen and grenth's balance combined with those healers. If you can deal with those, good luck. Very careful pulling helps there.

Why are the drops going to be terrible? Do you get fewer drops from one player + 3 heroes than you would with a pug of four players?

Holy resurrect batman!
Just wanted to add, the fastest way i have completed recently with myself + 6 heroes (using a friends heroes) was using a sabs+discordway setup in normal and hard mode it is pretty decent if you wan't to go it alone...

Reminds me of the part in Grandma's Boy where the guy challenges the other guy to a game of dance dance revolution, then after he owns the game he says "high score? high score whats that mean, did i break it?"

It's possible in NM with 1 player + 3 Discords (I was using an AP nec), but ridiculously long and pretty much a waste of time. You have to micro Discord to kill the monks, otherwise WoH spam won't let them die. Most of the defense comes from the minions but there's tons of corpses.
