salvaging my obby helm?

hey i might salvage my obsidian helmat (for war) to get some ectos for ranger armor but how many ectos will i get will it be my 15 like i spent or only like 1?????

I recall hearing about someone who salvaged an entire set of FoW armor and got 18 Ecto back. That's like a 20% return. I can't give you any concrete number, but the return on it is very low.

Yes, sadly in all likelihood you will get none at all.

most of the time, it is actually more cost efficient to just merch it. Its kind of messed up, but true.

You get a fraction of the ectos you spent or another of the crafting materials used to make your helm.

Sometimes you only get shards or Materials back. It'd be more worth your while to save for Ranger Fow. because the materials you get from this helm will have to pay towards a new one.

I savage some old armor with a "perfect salvage kit" and got a lot of parchment back.

Along time ago...i only rememeber that every piece salvaged gave a whole number like 10 back everytime. never numbers like 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9. So i think it was giving me back full crafting material.


You could test this by buying a piece of cheap armor in noob island...and perfect salvage it.

I think you'll get a few pieces of iron ingots..

That's interesting, seeing how a perfect salvage kit does not allow you to salvage crafting materials. Do tell how you managed such a feat.

Don't do it, its better to just let it sit and collect dust. You spent more then 100k to get that helm, don't let it go to waste. Collect the ectos for ur ranger and DON'T tough that helm! Its a waste of money.

Old bug, that was fixed rather quickly after the Perfect Salvage kits were introduced, that allowed people to salvage materials from armour and weapons without them breaking. There are screenshots on this forum somewhere...
