I do not really see a need to have a limit. Maybe they should put a limit on the primary profession skills allowed to force players to use their second profession.

8 PvE skills would be funny, but overpowered. Also, a Rank Discrimination would star in PvE ( Yeah a RANK DISCRIMINATION, you have read well)

A rank discrimination? Yes. Because people would star using PvE skilbars. And the PvE skills require a Rank, so here is....elitism in PvE.

But still, the concept is there. You can add signet of illusion if you are too lazy to farm PVE ranks. You can always add Resurrection Signet instead of sunspear's one etc.

But people still wont play mesmer, since it's not in the holy trinity.

You could have a complete 8-PvE skills bar.

2 Kurzick/luxon, 3 sunspear, 2 lightbringer, 1 signet of capture.

But that build was... ridiculously bad.

With the addition of the EotN "supah-pahwahfah skeelz", the build would have been ridiculously good.

That's whey they made the change.

Well my original prophecies box had no warning, but you are from the UK and I am from the US. So different packageing.

You know it's not about adaptation or balance. It's about being forced to change because of PvP. I have played from the beginning and always changed my builds for all my characters to deal with every situation. I changed because I discovered new skills, new advantages and new weapons. I found that some skills work better in some areas, others don't.

This is what pissed me off about skill balance. I find a new skill, and use it one or two times, before it gets nerfed due to abuse in PvP. I did not abuse the skill, but I get PUNISHED for others abuse. Thus I start to hate PvP players. So do most of the PvE players, they hate PvP players for the damage they cause.

However PvP players ARE NOT TO BLAME, Anet is to Blame because they made PvP about only one condition, Kill or Be killed, and any player is going to look for the most effective way to accomplish that goal to WIN, WIN, WIN.

Thus gimmick builds are born.

I fail to even see why it's a punishment, isn't it easy enough to change your build a little? Because it isn't for me...

Well i dont agree with the way ppl complane about skill balancing .It to keep the game even not for 1 class to dominate.Yes atm its mainly balancing pvp,But when they balance pve yall still cry nerf about it.Ekkk they run out my FireStorm

When A-Net balances the game theres going to be a hand full of ppl that dont like it but its for the best in the long run.Just wait till the do nerf Ursan half of GW will like it or half wont.

Rubbish. Impact on PvE is negligible from the skill rebalances, it's just that people are too lazy to adjust their farmbuilds.

Well, with the recent nerf to Watch Yoursef, I would propose that I should se allowed to use Save Yourself on my heroes as a compromise.


WY was a standard skill on my H/H team. It is irreplacable. Its recent nerf to only affect a few hits has made it completely useless. It was the *ONE* skill that gave my whole H/H group extra survivability in HM dungeons and Vanquishes.


Now its literally gone so my H/H are just extra squishy. Just one PVE skill on each hero would be a fair compromise for the WY nerf. I have been able to adapt to every other nerf so far, but losing WY on my H/H team is taking nerfing one step too far.


Well, I guess i hardly care as I havnt played PVE for over a month now. Back to lotro and away from this game ruined by nerfs and disadvantaged solo play.

I would prefer having PvE only skills on my heroes instead of having 8 PvE only skills on my own character. They should make cap sig not count towards that tittle, but luckilly I have done all of my systematic capping. (All elites from primary proffesion on all my PvE characters.) Now I only have to cap a skill if I want to try a specific build.

My PvE playability whishlist would be :

1- PvE skills on Heroes
2- 7 heroes

But I don't mind your proposal, so

You want GW to be even easier? "hard" mode is getting too easy, we need insane mode, where only monks are allowed to bring healing skills while everyone else has to use melee/ranged/wanding.
