How to fix GW after updates

Hi all.

For some reason, on this new comp. whenever there is a new build, when I try to restart my client, it won't load at all and won't debuff or anything so the only thing I can do is restart the comp.

Of course, when there are multiple updates in a short period of time, this sucks so is there any way I can fix this, thanks.

I'd take a look at your antivirus programs. Especially if they use Heuristics.

I don't have that problem and it sounds like external interference from other programs that are running.

Perhaps when you need to update GW, disable all your other programs and restart after GW is done updating?

If you are running a software firewall, check the settings on it also.

Does sound like an antivirus probably the firewall, mine always reports that the file has altered and do I still want it to run.

Somewhere in your firewall will be a list of programs marked as either block allow or ask.

Check how gw.exe is marked

Its also possible the message popup is covered by the game loading screen that has happend to me on several pcs
