hey ive been gone for a while just logged in yesterday there i could still play but now whith the new update it contineus says this :

"guild wars was unable to connect to any login servers.
this is very likely caused by an internet routing issue.

If this problem persists, please visit the Guild Wars support website. (code=58)"

i already opened the ports 80 and 6112 which i never had to do.
i have a wireless router linksys wrt54g serie 7

If you have a firewall, verify if it blocks GW since the update.

ok only solution i've found so far (has happened twice) is get rid of you're gw.dat file (a pain if you got the full image) reinstall from either the cd's (takes way less long than downloading even on a rather fast connection)
and update and you can log in again

You're probably going to have to do with Cyb3r said.

I had that problem a long time ago and the only thing the fixed it was redownloading everything.

Try plugging in your modem directly to your computer. Just to make sure that the router is not the issue. If not, try disabling any firewalls you may have.

Note one never a good idea to disable a firewall unless it's really necesarry 2 i've had the problem when i was connected directly through the UTP cable (read lan cable for people not knowing what UTP means) and when i was behind my router been in the hardware sector for about 8+ years now, so i do know what i'm talking about, but back on topic.

the problem is related to the GW.dat file tested and checked it twice cause when i putted in the backup i had everything ran fine again and i could log in again.

But it never hurts to check through the list but without decent details which router and firewall he is using i can't help further since i'm lacking the details.

Hope this helps, Cyb3r
