My Heroes Skills Templates (ZIP inside)
deadman_uk
I don't know if this would help out anyone but I have created and saved the skillbars of all the heroes in Guild Wars. I use my heroes often so it's important that they have a good set of skills, so I thought I would share them with you all

What I find odd is that you use your heros similar to ways I do. I'll give these skills a try.

When you say you find it odd that I use heroes similar to you.. what do you mean? Can you be more specific?

My heros are runed for skill bars similar to what your heros use.

Why post this here when there's a build forum?

I didn't post these templates for people like you to take the piss. Just because you don't think they are very good, doesn't make them bad builds... it's down to user preference and I'm glad not everyone is as disrespectful as you (even if they don't use my builds) I stated above that I am not a professional at this game but I wanted to help the community... no, not people like you who act as if they're far superior to me in Guild Wars. This is more for the average gamer, or people who have heroes sitting there, with no skills to use. Not sure how you got the figure 100 when referring to the resurrect skills considering their are only 25 heroes in total. I am also not sure of how you can make an opinion without looking at ALL of the builds, for sure you have only looked at the minority to base your opinion.
About secondary professions and again this is down to user preference. Just because I don't often make use of the heroes secondary profession, doesn't mean the build is instantly bad. These builds are for heroes, not humans and if you've ever been to the Isle of Nameless, you would see that there are many skills heroes don't know how to use correctly. If heroes were a bit smarter, I could add skills like Arcane Echo for Acolyte Sousuke and give Acolyte Jin (who uses barrage) "Splinter Weapon" or "Go for the Eyes". These simply work poorly as the AI doesn't know how to use them well and for PVE, I am a person who has the majority of his skills in the primary profession.

nice work glad to see you share your builds
ppl that don't have much experience making their heroes builds can rly make good advantage of these
maybe a small summary of how many builds for each proff you have in there would be quite nice
but still good work to help other players use their heroes decently

Well, almost all of the builds have 1 or 2 really questionable skills on them.
Seriously, Avatar of Melandru without wearying strike? A bow ranger using a pet and not having savage/distracting?
Still, its better then 95% of hero and player builds I see, so hopefully some people will find them useful. Most of the builds are focused in one or two attributes and have at least 2 or 3 of the best skills in those attributes, so its a good start for people new to the game. If you don't mind, may I go through your builds and make changes that I would feel improve the builds, then repost them here?

Here's some of the changes I've made. All of my builds contain the base name with 'v2' appended to them.
Overall, I decided to try and stick with the essence of what your original build was. In most cases, I kept the same elite, same attributes, and tried to make sure you keep some form of condition removal, resurrection, speed buff, and such if you had one before, though in a few instances I didn't.
I did sometimes change the build around a bit. For example, instead of Xandra being a 100% restoration, I swapped out one of her (rather redundant) single target heals for a party heal, and since you had so much channeling I thought it was going to waste just for OoS, so I added in ancestor's rage and splinter weapon. The overall change is to make her more of a strong support character then a pure healer, though she still retains ample strength in that role.
If you want my rationale for any changes just ask.

Acolyte Jin
=============
I see you've completely removed her pet and I don't like that. I have 3 hero rangers and I like 2 of them to have pets (Margrid and Jin). I didn't use your skillbar for her, although I did replace "Call of Protection" with "Distracting Shot".
Anton
======
In my testing, Anton doesn't seem to use "Golden Phoneix Strike" alot of the time and when he does, often he does so without casting "Critical Defenses". Without this, he has no enchantment on him and his "Golden Phoneix Strike" misses.
I favour my build more than yours, because at least he uses his skills smartly. I will however add "Death Blossom" to his skillbar.
General Morgahn
================
You removed all but one of his command skills, yet you still left him with 11 points in command.. this has confused me a little. I favour your build over mine so I will use it, but I will swap "Anthem of Flame" for "Anthem of Weariness" and lower Spear Mastery from 15 to 14, allowing me to boost Leadership a little. I will replace "Leader's Comfort" with "Never Surrender" too.
Goren
=======
I dislike your build, and favour mine more. I really dislike skills like "Counter Blow" that knocks down a foe (which is good) but does 0 damage.
Hayda
=======
Giving her "Defensive Anthem" I feel is really stupid. She will probably use it in the middle of an intense battle (which is how it should be used) but it only lasts for 8 seconds and is immediately removed if someone uses an attack skill. Since we're in the middle of a battle, most of the heroes would be using attack skills allowing "Defensive Anthem" to only stay in effect for a few seconds. All this for 15 energy and a 25 second recharge?... Not a good idea in my opinion.
When editing her build, you appear to completely forget about energy. Giving her 2 skills costing 15 energy each, a skill that costs 25 energy, on top of the 5 energy it costs to use "Spear Lightning". How much energy do you think she has? I think most Paragons have between 25-35 energy... this build is too energy heavy. Ok, she has 13 in Leadership which will help, but I don't like it to be honest.
Margrid The Sly
=================
Again, no pet. Your build is good, but I prefer mine.
Master of Whispers
====================
I like where you're going with this so I will use it. I did make a few minor changes though.
Olias
=======
I like so I will use yours.
Pyre Fierceshot
=================
Your build is far too energy heavy in my opinion, I dislike.
Warrior Axe
===========
Again, I prefer mine but I will exchange "Endure Pain" for "For Great Justice"
Warrior Sword
=================

Xandra
========
I prefer mine again to yours, but I agree that a heal party type skill is needed, so I will add that to her skillbar.
I have re-uploaded the zip file with the changes I have made.

Considering the speed at which things die in PvE, within the first 15 seconds of the battle you should get 1 or 2 kills, and after those first kills your healers are much less strained to keep your group alive. Thats why I like to overload on defense during the onset of a battle, hence the 50% block and party wide armor buff.

Since the rest of the differences appear to be more a question of style, I declined to comment.
Edit: For margrid, I highly recommend finding a way to fit in Read the Wind. Having the interrupting arrows reach their destination 2x as fast is invaluable.

For those who downloaded my skillbars to use on your heroes, I recommend you re-download them because some changes have been made over the past couple of days.

You use pets, they are only there to meatshield in my opinion.
And DONT remove FGJ on a bar focused on adrenaline lol.
I can show you some of mine later, yours are good, but yes i think they all can be improved just a liiitle bit.
