umm just a quick question..
are they ever gonna let us use surfpin to buy the bonus mission pack?
i seriously dont wanna use a credit card because its not safe anymore.
i hear that you can already use surfpin to make some purchases in the gw store so why not the bmp?
im sure this will also be extremely profitable for Anet since many users dont have credit cards(kinda the reason most of us bought gw)

edit: i also have evidence that nc-soft has closed a deal with surfpin.....so this leads me wondering why we still cant use surfpin to buy the bonus mission pack!!

adding surfpin will be a whole lot easier than shipping to stores and if they add surfpin to the entire online store im sure anets revenue will increase by more than over 51%
so right now i dont see a reason why they dont let us use surfpin and i really want the bonus mission pack but it is not within my reach until i can paybyphone.

Why is it the quickest etc? It's obviously not because it's taking you longer to use it than it would to just use your card >.>

Also, why isn't it safe? It's Arena Net, a huge multi-million company, if they do you over, sue for a LOT of money. I'm no legal expert, but i'm pretty sure you'd make your money back and a LOT more.

True, and if it's not NCSoft, you woulda been exploited for your pass ect even with SurfPin, PayPal, WHATEVER you use.

phones are being tested somewhere in Europe, I don't know about paypal, but they should have more ways of paying.

theres also alot of people who dont have credit cards which is why they bought gw.
so why do we have to use them now?

ever heard of a debit card? and you can get prepaid credit cards too.

i rather not go through all that and instead just use surfpin which takes only minutes.
the biggest reason why i got into gw was because i thought i would never have to use a credit card!

edit: plus its really not safe anymore you can get your identity stolen i dont think that will happen with surfpin.

A-net is not a huge multi-million dollar corporation, but NC-Soft (owner of A-Net and the one you deal with when you use the online game store) is a huge multi-million dollar corporation.

I'm STILL waiting for ANet to get their Ingame Store working with ALL gift cards, because I'm too young to prance over to my bank account and present my social security number to get privileges to call up this company and present my phone number and billing information to get approval for making an account on their site just to put ten bucks on a lousy Visa Gift Card.

Instead I use the pre-paid-amount American Express ones, which, sadly, do not work.

no we can only use credit card and paypal to buy from the online store and i dont have access to neither thats why im making a simple request to make surfpin available.

People get their money stolen while on Ebay, Ebay never gets sued for it, I'd assume there's some disclaimer everywhere about "If you're money gets stolen, it's not our fault" in the EULA or TOS or something.

I have another question concerning the online store:

Do they allow the use of Paypal? Somehow alternate payment methods do make sense to me even though they cost a little more.

Sorry I forgot that you can use PayPal to get stuff...though I do think it might be a good idea to allow a variety of payment methods such as other alternates and maybe even mail orders (ie. Send your account name and password and the item you wish to purchase enclosed with the proper amount of money.

Wrong, You can use DEBIT CARDS aswell.

Why are you making that request here, GWG have no influence on the payment metod in the Store.

no this does not answer my question, debit cards or anything shaped like a rectangle is something i cannot use to make online purchases until the near-future.
so surfpin is the best alternative.
and also guru can have an influence on anything as long as anet reads the threads.
