Using Textmod?

Okay, so I've actually become very interested seeing the ways some ppl have used text mod (giving a warrior rastigan armor, changing the color of torment weapons, changing the face of a char, etc...) and would like to know how I would go about making my own personal text mod changes?

Also, I've seen that some ppl provide links to download their changes using textmod, are these downloads generally safe? (no keyloggers, etc...)

I don't know how to make your own texmods, but they are perfectly safe to use.

I'm using texmod for my elite wallhugger title, it's save as far as I know

hmm.. imo i think texmod (while using it for exploration / pvp use) should result in a suspension, and, if used again, an account ban. it's highly unfair that we 'legit' people get titles the "right" way and others cheat to get it. *sigh*

Well , I started cartographer when I was really noob and got to 85% or so, but because I was so noob I didn't wall hug, got to 93% by comparing maps, and got my last 7% by texmod because I really couldn't find the last spots ^^

Who said you can't use them? Why should they get banned for using them. Because you said it isn't fair. Please QQ more.

Considering the titles that you can use Texmod to get don't really have any affect on you (I use "you" as a general term) as a player, let the people get the title how they want.

I have to disagree. It isn't like they don't have to still expend the effort into uncovering the map, it just means that they don't sit there and grind the wall for hours and think they got it, only to have to come back 2-3 times later because they think they might have not.

You obviously have done much cartography or are really a stick in the mud when it comes to other people to think they deserve a ban of any length for wanting to cut down on the repeating part of a title hunt. They still have to do the initial work themselves.

Learn what TexMod is before you bash it.

Okay, im well in on my texmod adventure (took awhile to really start to understand stuff and work through kinks) and I have a somewhat related question to my original inquiry...

What kind of photo editer programs are used to make texmod changes? Like a noob at this, im using paint LOL. I've made some decent things, but I know I need something better to do what I plan to. Any suggestions/where I can find these programs for free/cheap?
