no Prophecies farming builds?

I'm really frustrated that there seem to be no prophecies (ele) farming builds out there (anymore). I just got back into GW after a year of not playing, and I don't have Nightfall or Factions (got the platinum edition, EoTN + Core).

Basically all builds use skills from factions and/or nightfall, which is understandable, but very frustrating to me nonetheless. I'm not going to buy either campaign just for the skills (I don't care much for the story, I'm a Tyria guy).

I checked several sites, but ALL builds seem to be outdated/retired. Can someone help? I just want to solo farm with my ele damned.

The old ether renewal build should be fine for most areas without enchant removal or interrupts.

[skill]kinetic armor[/skill][skill]aura of restoration[/skill][skill]ether renewal[/skill][skill]earth attunement[/skill][skill]stone daggers[/skill][skill]earthquake[/skill][skill]aftershock[/skill][skill]crystal wave[/skill]

I might have a few skills wrong, it's been a while. However, I do remember it bring good for kicks in the defend north kryta province quest, and it should be fine for all the other common proph areas, disregarding UW. However, you're not going to make that much money with it, given loot scaling, so meh.

It's probably possible to blow up smites with proph only too, although you have slightly weaker defensive options and crappy speed boosts.

This is really sad. Its like they 'force' you to buy the newest campaigns by nerfing old farming areas/skills. Thanks for trying though.

I'm deciding wether to quit GW or buy nightfall...this is seriously bothering me.

I can't really think of any relevant nerfs to prophecies skills that would matter, I don't know where you're getting that from.

The only thing nightfall really adds to the posted build is stoneflesh aura. It's certainly nice for tanking huge mobs, but is nowhere near required. Every area that an ele could farm back when proph came out is still fine (except griffons, of course).

Symbol of Wrath and Holy Strike ignore armour and are not attacks which means Mist Form does nothing

The blessed griffons have always been like that. He's referring to the desert griffons, who used to congregate in hordes outside of augury rock, but now get eaten by the scarabs.
