What benefits will I gain from updating my Dx9?

Is it safe, will it have bugs?

They are generally fixes, it increases stability and possibly performance slightly. Also, it's not a beta, so it shouldn't have any bugs.

Brianna, it's completely safe. I generally use the redistributable so it's less to download and since I also deploy this across my networked computers at home. It's very quick and doesn't require a reboot either. As Aera said, it's mainly performance enhancements and bug fixes.

If you have nothing positive to contribute, don't troll.

It's not trolling, just stating something that is said all throughout the hardware world, provide me a link to studies with increased performance related to dx9.0 games and amount of bug fixes effected by titles after this dx update...
