if you want to contact specific people you can send them a pm (click on their name--select option)....if you just want to say HI to everyone in game---the introduction thread suggested is the best way.

And if you post in the super-secret guild wars guru select member section you also get a cookie !

Reason enough to upgrade your account !

Like Bohya said, just be careful. Someone will surely call you a noob just for being nice. Its the way of the guru lately.
