I have gotten banned mulitple times for using racial slurs "niga" "niger" ect . I think this is very stupid, i think chat filter should ban these words. Same as swearing. Have a checkbox to check on- ban racial slurs.

While i believe being banned for cursing is absolutely RIDICULOUS, i believe being banned for cursing while somehow bypassing the word filter is reasonable, which in a sense, you actually did.

even so, imo, you shouldn't be using those words to begin with. "nigga" and "nigg er" or anything in the sense is highly disrespectful no matter how you look at it.
cursing/swearing shouldn't be a suspendable/bannable offense, but the use of racism on GW SHOULD be.

The obvious way to avoid being banned is simply to respect your fellow players by not swearing or making racial slurs.
Just because the filter doesn't stop it doesn't mean you should be saying it.

The change we need for them is to detect languages.
It's a bit annoying when the filter detects English words while your are typing in Spanish.

And a good solution to this problem: DON'T USE RACIAL SLURS IN THE FIRST PLACE! Swearing I can sort of understand because swearing is an emotional release for some people. But when is it even remotely ok to use a racial slur?

This is a great suggestion. Filter all words and possible mispellings thereof, intentional or not (there are only a few hundred for each word, tops), so that you can use racial slurs for no reason?

We don't need a 'better' chat filter. We need people who aren't morons, who aren't racists/sexists/homophobe etc. and people who are mature enough to realise that some people like to swear (I don't understand this though). Honestly.

Gotta be honest. I am 26 and I while I do swear at work once in a while, I try to avoid it at home and really don't feel the need to see it on the computer either. Personally, I consider most of the people who swear in game just to swear juvenile. Racism/Sexism/Whatever other discrimatory things exist are just as bad.

I understand swearing while speaking. Most of the time it is a spur of the moment thing. If you have to type, it is no longer a spur of the moment as that requires more thought.

ok, i'll admit i'm not intimately familiar with the EULA, but i have 0 sympathy for someone using racial slurs in the game, whether the filter blocks it or not.
imho, a racial slur should be grounds for a perma ban, first time.
now, your "standard" swearing, the incomplete list of impolite words, if you will, i have no major problem with. i'm an adult, theoretically, all the folks online are too. (if you are a child on the internet, i seriously wonder about your parents. if you're the parent of a child on the internet, for gods sake, put the kid up for adoption and get yourself fixed.)
aside from prudish folks trying to tell me what's good for me, any rational adult ought to be able to cope with some swearing. it is, for some people, simply their idiom, to curse a lot. (i work in a steelmill, and i know whereof i speak. one of the most intelligent, polite folks i know, swears to himself constantly as he works. and the kind of language that would take paint of an aircraft carrier. would never guess this in conversation, but hey....)
