Secret Lair of Snowman TIPS/BUILDS [Merged]

i tank with [skill]defiant was xinrae[/skill] and have 2 SF eles, 1 minion bomber, 2 ele hench, 2 monk hench. screws over the snowmen cos they can't spell cast so they on'y do like 8 dmg per hit. then they go down in 3-4 secs with 4 eles and a bomber. depending on whether i die, takes 12-15 mins.

Have you ever tried, EoE? it's really good, also if ur good at micromanagement, have ur heroes aegis chain, or defensive anthem chain either one works, i get constant 15 min runs, but im a monk so i need tweak my build a bit

[skill]mantra of frost[/skill] works on heroes, i tank with [skill]defiant was xinrae[/skill] and then they can only auto attack, and this IS cold damage, they can't cast spells. this works but there's not much need imo, just saying it works.

NM I'm about 9 minutes, HM about 11. I go Me as aoe nuker, nuker hero, sab's healer necro/rit hero, volley/barrage ranger hero (I started out with mm hero but he tended to lag behind with his minions and annoy me by going slow, plus the ice jets tended to eat the minions uselessly) then for henchies I usually take cynn, the 2 monks (seems like a lot of healing but with the damage and speed it works out ok) and the archer hench (NOT the interrupter, the archer one cause he uses barrage) Then I just run through. Honestly I found the whole dungeon works better when you don't have tanks running up to the snowmen. Can you swap to w/r and run barrage or something? Might speed things up a bit.

As for the mms all you have to do is flag the heroes so the mm goes faster, for mm heroes this has to be done as there is so many corpses he'll keep rezzing minions

Edge of extinction worked nicely for me. I did about 10 runs last night in HM and I would just barrage them a few times and the EofE would kick in and they would start dropping like flies. Otherwise I used a minion bomber, 2 searing flame elementals, and some henchies.

warrior here , i ran in w/ Xinrae and a bunch of rit heals (henchies cant get a spike for shit) w/ 3x N/E SFers/rodgorts , Cynn Herta Mhenlo and the prot monk ? lisa?
10-12 mins I just used N/Es cuz they were better equiped
if i was to do this agian ild bring a SF/prot ele a SF/EoE ranger and a SF Infuser
but i gave up after 30+ runs to finish delver w/ hm books

I've got it pretty figured out, I have 3 AoE heroes earth hench, fire hench prot and healer, i'm a monk so i heal to now the snowmen are more than just easy in hardmode, normal mode is just hillarious but on hardmode when i get to the part right before I kill the Dungeon keeper(I think that's what it's called well it drops the dungeon key anyway), theres 6 snowball-firing thingys and 6 or 4 ice volcanoe-doodies now, i flag my heroes so they're out of the way of them but we're still taking damage from snowballs and then when I move forward to kill the Dungeon keeper and the last few snowmen either the ice volcanoes turn back on and my heroes lag behind or because I flag them away and forward they're getting killed by the snowball turrets and snowmen and it happens quite quickly since i'm trying to get out of the way from the ice volcanoes and heal at the same time isn't easy and usualy when I flag them towards the wall the heroes feel the need to run back and forth hitting themselfs on the volcanoe or they don't flag where i want them properly and just stand to close to a volcanoe, I did it the first time I tried hardmode I don't know how I really don't and i've tried it 5 other times since and died over and over at the same point, anyone got any ideas?

When going in to kill the snowman that drops the key, hug the right wall and go in slowly.

I usually (bieng an ele) take 2 aoe fire eles with heal party me running same bar and a mm hero. Then i take the obvious good choice for henchies. OROROROROR

With the ice shooters you can't really take it slow-you just got to push ahead and provide your party with enough healing.
Consider bringing someone that can produce minions-they're disposable and it gives the jets something else to target.

hug the wall and go around the ice jets. your heroes should stand right on top of you, or at least close enough so they aren't in the jets.

Alright, I hugged the walls and managed to do it my heroes still run into them every now and then though they seem to have a mind of their own sometimes and they don't always follow me against the wall they sometimes go around the turrets and run into the ice volcanoes but if they do I stop and flag them ontop of me and use heal area, I'm only rank 4 but i'm gonna grind my way to 10 might take a while but I get quite a few golds every now and then, thanks for the help everyone!

Bring an Minion bomber and multiple copies of shield of absorbtion. This makes it incredibly easy. the minions act as extra targets for the traps to lock onto and if one of your humans starts getting wacked SoA will quickly take care of that.
I farmed my last 10K of delver points in there and this is what I took

3 AOE eles (vekk, acolyte, and zhed)
earth hench
fire hench
2 monk hench.
Since you cant' be the MM or the nuker i would suggest dropping one of the eles for a gero necro and one of the monk hench for a warrior or ranger

I've run this dungeon a ton of times both nm and hm. True that part is tricky, but I've found the best way to get past it is to firstly not have any melee characters or pets - the whole dungeon is easier to beat with spellcasters and people who stand back away - especially the part with the ice jets. Like the other poster said, hug the right wall and stay out of the ice jets - your heroes and henchies will follow. Know that as soon as you kill the 'boss' snowman that drops the key all the ice jets and traps will stop - so when you get close enough target him and ping him for your allies - once he goes down it's a cakewalk. Oh, and make sure before you go in you trigger that res point otherwise you'll be running all the way from the beginning.
