like on some emails if it's detects too much flesh colour or such it wont work??

Too much work, a few more cape design options would be plenty. Seriously, it's bad enough that we have to read what some idiots say, I'd rather not have to see stupid capes everywhere.
Seems like a good idea in theory, but think about it, logically, the maturity level of GW won't be able to handle it.

I would LOVE to make my own cape (actually put my college degree to work), but then only my guild would get to use it, and with 1 of us mia (dead computer) that doesnt leave many of us to show it off.
I do agree that there would be too many immature drawings (heck, just look at the names people come up with...let alone some artwork!).

It’s a great idea, but personally I wouldn’t accept it. There are LOTS of available selections now, and I think that no one should complain. Uploading other pictures may not work out since you can’t edit the color of the picture, so I think that just staying with what you have now is good.

Right, everyone dearly wants to see a goatse cape... In other words: no, please, no custom capes.
First:
-additional download burden. With everyone sporting a custom cape, we'd have to download new cape files with every player, increasing bandwidth and memory demands.
Second:
-content issues. While we would get many beautiful and ingenious capes, we'd also get many offensive ones. There are many people who would love nothing more than to wear a goatse cape around just to prank people. You'd get svastikas, invisibe pink unicorns, spaghetti monsters, burning crosses, inverted crosses, hammer and sickles... and with each of those, someone will ask himself "Why the hell am I playing this game with people like these?". And even a very few rotten apples are enough to spoil the fun for everyone else.
Third:
-I'm sure Anet is already aware of the above and if they were to allow custom capes, they'd have to have someone review the images for inappropriate content. That's a lot of work, though. Remember: milions of players, and everyone would want one. Reviewing a corresponding number of capes would take a whole team of people.
I would much sooner expect them to establish a "new cape images submission" system, allowing people to propose new general images in the form of a contest.
