April Fool's is two weeks away.
I haven't farmed Raptors in ages. First hour i had a heap of gold items drop including an Ele Sword and a Saurian Scythe. Last couple of hours has seen the rate diminish. I'd think this is more the pattern you'll see emerging than drops being related to armour colour.
BTW - i've had 1 green dye in 20 dye drops.

I can't believe I actually tried "going green".
But I did.. and NO difference what so ever to the drops
by the Magic Green Armor.

My char has all green Armor - was getting 2 Ales & 2 Clovers about every 90 minutes or so.
Normal mode playing in EotN.
I started out in Nightfall but didn't get a single drop in an hour, figured nightfall isn't in Tyria ?
I'm asking, IDK.

Ranger's CAN'T farm raptors for now, until someone will come up with a build for that. And if you already asked, then I guess you posted in wrong section.

If you have access to most/all of the game and you want to farm these "greens" then DO NOT GO TROLLS. The drop rate sucks compared to raptors.

For Rangers, if you're only going for the event items, you should be farming the Raptors in NM with VwK, and not bothering about the Broodmother.

nah, I was a w/rt, so I missed out on the hatchlings by the boss each run (1-2 mins).
My total farming time estimate was likely high and the gold total was conservative, but I agree ele gets more event drops from the raptors.

Run takes about 90 seconds and kills everything in hard mode. Main thing is always use a spear with 20% ench and +5 energy as you can easily aggro back the raptors or the boss when they move away. I wish gold spears dropped in the cave cos you could make a fortune in Rata Sum selling them to all the sword wielding nub ele's lol. I use [wiki]Spirit of the Forgotten[/wiki] and the Bison Cup but ideally you'd want a [wiki]Peppermint Spear[/wiki] from Wintersday for the consistent damage. |
