Playing on one char

Please move this theard to the right place if it isnt.

So here it goes:
I have been playing in lots of diffrent characters, from the old to the new, none of em I enjoyed the most except for the warrior. I played her all time, all day long, got her best armor and weapons I could get for her. I maxed most of the titles, well, I need now only the skill capping maxed and I'm pretty much done...Erm...Everything with her! Only now will have to do some useless fow and doa, uw and some I dont really like.
How can u handle it, I mean, I still want to play GW, but with my warrior, as I have got bored from any other proffs I tryed, but have nothing really "fun" and " essential" to with her. :|

So I'm asking you guys, what did you do, did you force urself trying to like other char untill u like it, did u eventually tryed other proffs over and over, or did you just quit it and end of story?

guess i have more of a choiced then you considering i like practically all the chars. the sin and derve for pvp, i do fast pull bp pull on my necro and ranger at tombs war is pretty nice too for just charging in and the nuker...well always nice to see huge numbers ^^.

anyhoo to answer your question, if your bored with pve i suggest you start playing pvp with your warrior.

Turn off GW. Switch to another game or go outside for a while(your friends are probably worried about you, lol). Come back in a couple of days/weeks and just like that, its all fun again.

get all your characters pvp ready?

Well, it's a little different for me, because I always saw it as interesting to figure out other classes and see how I could make them work for me. I used to hate Rits and now I love em.
I don't play my Derv and Ele as much so there is a degree of how much I like each character class but it has been fun playing all the different classes. And whenever I get bored with a certain char I have many other chars to choose from.

All in all though, there are moments where I just get bored with the game, which is normal and then I just take a break and do something else for a little bit till I feel like playing again. Perhaps that might be a suggestion. Even the coolest games can get to this point if you play them regularly.

Take a break. Switch from PvE to PvP or farm some and play dress up on your other characters even if you're not as fond of them. I have a cycle I usually get on... I really want to do PvE hardcore (elite runs, HM runs, etc.), then I really want to do PvP for a while and explore builds, then I really want to farm and buff the bank.

Just try another style of gameplay or decorate your hall or other chars.

I'm playing PVP in diffrent ways, I play RA / TA / AB with a PVP chars, just hate useing a pve one...
I havent tryed paragon yet (pve), do you think it's close to warriors? They look abit similar just ranged.

I have allready took a break due to exams, now I have breaks from exams, and I'm back with GW ><

para can be a fun break, yet quickly becomes one of the most boring professions in the game, spam skills=> get energy => spam skills more => get more energy => run. (no offense, IMO)

make another lady warrior....

I enjoyed playing my rit soo much I made another one...did the same with my monks and mesmers... (got 3 of each of them)...

dont force yourself to play---its just a game, if you dont enjoy it then do something else.

I rotate my five characters all the time trying to get each to have the same titles. I plan to stay at five characters hoping to get them all with the same 10 titles.

ive been playing pve for about a year and completed all campaigns and got KoaBD on 6 different chars and im finding it really easy to switch to pvp because i have a really good guild, in 1 month i got my r3 hero and now im doing ha every day, basically you need a guild to help you switch, they helped me get into pvp and now im helping them with pve and gvg

Like you, i only played 1 character. Couldn't stand going through the noob stuffz again. When i'd done what i wanted to, and had nothing interesting left (well, some HM - but it's no more fun than NM, just a higher number after the monster's name..), i PvP'ed. Then that got stale, so i quit.

If you have nothing left in the game to do that you find fun, quit. Obvious, really.

I cannot stick with one character for a long period of time. Yeah I can create different builds with one character and a couple are pretty versitile but I get bored of staring at the back of that characters head pretty quick.

I also like to be aware of what other classes are capable of and the best way to do that is to try it out yourself.

Thus, I always technically have something to do. Whether I can be arsed or not is a different question. I usually only do pve thesedays when someone else wants to go run a mission or such.

well i have 1 of each profession but am basically being forced to play as my ele since i want a gd HoM before GW2. Since PvP is faaaar more important for account based titles, ANet is forcing ppl with multiple PvE character into using 1 main character if u want titles. Why can't some PvE titles be account based for once? like SS/LB? do u really wanna endlessly farm over n over in a dumb wurm just for the sake of maxing the titles out 10 times :/ and don't even get me started on survivor/LDoA

so, whilst i have 1 of each profession at lvl20 with 15k armor, they are basically like a nice bit of ornament, sitting on the shelf, looking pretty but serving no real purpose anymore unless I need a certain profession for farming. For example, my monks only being used now due to the 600/smite build, before he was on that sad same shelf.

I dont force myself to use the other professions simply because my ele has plenty to do atm with my title collecting. Vanquishing is next on my list. If they had ANY account based PvE titles (1 would be nice), then maybe my other characters wouldn't be mint-in-box

I only play my monk in pve and pvp because having more then one pve character becomes a chore fast.

But since i have all skills nicely unlocked, i can have any character i want for pvp at any time. Not that my pvp only toons last very long. It's mostly fine-tuning the titles of my supermonk. Especially the ones that make you stronger.

I used to play my warrior only for about 23 months.

I now have 7 PvE characters, 6 maxed armor etc and I am so bored it is NOT funny.

My monk is swiftly running out of PvE goals that don't suck. So when I feel like playing GW but don't feel like getting my teeth kicked in by an HM boss, I play another PvE character - at the moment I have one of each profession.

I've only gone so far with the other professions. None of them have been as near satisfying for me as my Warrior has.

I'm really picky with the classes I play. I seem to like "support" classes...Monk, Paragon, Rit...so I play those the most, with the exception of my Ranger, which is my main character. I find myself pretty much in the same situation with him, that you are in with your Warrior. I've done pretty much all the "fun" stuff. Got him his armor, his "leet bows", beat the campaignes. So now I'm left either running around on him being bored, or playing one of my other characters...which I feel I dont have nearly as much motivation to play as my Ranger. So I guess the answer to the question is yes...I force myself to play one of the other classes.

Wow you're just like me...Out of all the chars I've made, I only play my warrior. I've either deleted the others, or haven't played them for months on end.

As for your question, I've had a hard time liking other professions as well. i usually made them over and over again to keep trying them, then I'd end up deleting them again. I haven't been able to force myself to like any of the others, except maybe ranger, but even then I don't play mine very often. Unlike you, i haven't maxed out every single title there is to max out yet, so I still have stuff to do on my warrior.
