Title rank display.

Ok.

We can choose titles, why not the rank of the title?

If you don't understand.

I don't want to show "Victorious Commander" for my HBing title, but I want to show "Commander" But i still want the second title rank etc.. (That's not actually the case)

For reputation titles... vanguard... deldrimor, lightbringer etc.... this almost makes sense, having different levels of effectiveness of the title's benefeits. but why would i want to run around with "Mighty Hero" instead of "Subjugating Hero" .... why would i rather be "Kind of a Big Deal" instead of "I Have Many Leather-Bound Books"...

Maybe cause the title names are funnier. I'm currently playing a character called 'Ascalonian Drunkard' and I want to max drunkard title on it. But I still think Drunkard suits me better then Incorrigble Ale Hound. See my point?

Yeah kinda like this too. I sometimes prefer Hapless to my current unlucky title.

Although this takes away the only "practical" use for titles.

No. When you hit Rank 10 you are rank 10, not rank 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10.

Best it would be the option to display the text which ever you prefer, but the number still showing your actual rank, like "Not Too Smelly (10)" (not that I'm r10 Asura, but that's besides the point )

If I've achieved a high or max level hard title to get why would I want to display the easier to get lower end one?

It's been mentioned several times in this thread already, as well as other suggestion threads for this idea. People just want to display a certain tier to the title that they like better, as opposed to the one that they have. My example: "Slayer of All" is utterly lame. Most of the middle tiers are much better, "Slayer of Nightmares" (lvl 3 iirc?) would probably be my choice.

Speaking of choosing titles, why can't rank 1 or 2 be displayed of the hero title track?

One of my questions I have often wondered. I am not asking for the emote, but since you took the time to give me a title (which Shing Jea Sherman calls in Tarnished Haven) why can't I wear it.

I understand why the emotes are at level 3, 6, 9, 12, 15. It was so before titles existed people could prove their rank to get in R3+, R6+, etc groups. Now that we have titles, it is a lot easier to prove what your rank is (if you have one).


Back on thread topic, I understand that some people do not want to display their lower level title. This is not a reason to say that people who would like to should not be able to. Simple process, if the request helps someone, and has absolutely no impact on you, there is no reason to say that I think it is dumb and not sign it. Either ignore the thread or come up with a good reason why to not sign it.
