Celestial Compass – Drop Sites

Can someone please provide visual evidence that the celestial compass drops in Dalada Uplands? After 100+ lock picks I am really starting to doubt the information on wiki.

I tried it and got a max, gold, energy storage one on my 5th pick. Just bad luck I'd say. Hope you get it on your next try.

well i opened about 40 chests on normal and 40 on hardmode, none poped out

HM, sorry I don't have a screeny. I can't find the pic in my My Pictures or watever you call it. I got it in the woods just a little east of Wingshielder.

If you're using Windows, try searching for gw001.bmp or gw001.jpg. Most newer versions of Windows have a search in the Start bar. It should point you to your screens folder.

No offense, but I don't get the logic. I know I don't take screenshots of everything that ever happens in-game, except on the rare occasion that I remember to do so. But often times, by the time I think about how cool something was (drop/kill/etc.) the time for screenie had passed. Anyway, I believe that it happened on the 5th drop. It is a random chance, after all, like the time I had 2 ecto drop for me on the first mob of 2 aataxes in UW that no one ever believes (of course I didn't get a screenshot - too stoked on the drops to think about it). Exactly, and how would a screenshot prove he got the compass on the fifth chest in the Uplands after the update? I could open 80 chests before getting a gold celestial compass, take a screenshot, and claim I got it on the third chest. Who's the wiser? A screenshot would prove he got one from a chest, but by this point getting one is probably not all that amazing and could have been done by Bohya after making the first post in the thread (though getting specifically a max gold e storage compass would be a bit harder). The bigger question to me is when he got it (as the fifth chest would be amazing), and a screenshot would never satisfy a real skeptic in regards to that question.

Ok ... you can take scrennies of wherever you want .... but dont ask us to belive in you. I dont believe Bohya got one Compass, but i will change my mind if a see the scrennie. For me, it dosent matter if she got in the first, or in the fifty lockpick ....

I don't care how many lockpicks he used or how many chest he opened. I want a screen shot that proves that celestial compass drops from locked chest in Dalada Uplands. No screen shot means it didn't happen and I lost my screen shot sounds like the dog ate my work.

fro some reason this made ma laugh... take a ss, and if you cant find it. take a second SS to find the old one (which wont be found anyways because you cant find the folder 
)... or you just take millions of SS's and search for the most bloated folder in your system

Yeah it is in your Main drive, find your guild wars folder, you find your screens folder...though i know if you run Vista it is somewhere else. My bf recently got vista and he couldnt find his screens until he took one in game and looked where it allocated it in the chat, c drive> user> (your name)> guilwars> screens.
Something like that.
If you still can't find your screens folder...then that is really odd there is something seriously wrong with your gw, even if you delete the screens folder when you take another screenie it creates it again.

Maybe they have used over a 200 lockpicks like me and haven't seen it drop or had any confirmation that it drops in Dalada Uplands. I have done several clearing with other people and it still not dropping there.

I understand many of you feelings. I've used 50picks but doesn't even get one. However, I don't think people who got the drop have the responsibility to PROVE or SS it for any of us. Believe or not, they say they got it. All we can do is to either /giveup, /open. Or may be some of us will eventually get it and SS it.

Come on guys. I'm on my 120 lockpick already. (noticed that all of them say 13% chance to keep, ) and nothing good except for runes and golds.
I too want to have that compass, but there's no guarantee that I would ever get it. Its more the satisfaction of finding it... With the money invested in lockpicks I probably should have bought one . I'm sure there's some people out there giving bad info to try to get the most of farming them, but what can you do? you either belive in other people or not. It just comes to that. its your decision if you want to invest your time and gold searching for it. If someone finds it and provide a pic, excelent, if they dont, same thing. Eventually the truth will come up in a few weeks. Then if they were misinforming people we will know because of their post, but unitl then there's no reason to doubut what they say.

and IF it is really true that those items can be obtained from a chest there, maybe its some specific chest? <like the chest in raptor cave to drop Saurian Scythe or the chest in Boreas Seabed guarded by Oni for Oni Blades>
