Why do all PvE noob warriors use Sword?!

This has baffled me till the release of GW, but why do noob warriors always use sword. AND I MEAN ALWAYS!...

How many times have you seen that warrior doing his final thrust on a mob that is at max health. T_T. Maybe be the thought of riposte turns them on?

Considering the stats and that no one uses or will ever use sword in pvp it's really sad to see them running around in pve.

Ok so maybe i'm exaggerating a little bit. There are good pvp builds for sword like crippling slash sword warrior. But seriously, how many pve guys have you seen playing a sword warrior right?

I stopped complaining about pve because for the most part pvers play very smart now... wasn't the case back in the day. It took a VERY long time to get rid of those god awful healing breeze monks, but I digress. The mending wammos are almost extinct which puts a big smile on my face, but these sword noobs are like a infestation.

Can anyone care to explain why you love that sword so much? (i know there are people on these forums as described above )

I'm a sword warrior, and no noob either. I run a Dragon Slash build that gives me a very high damage output against a single target. My love for the sword is simple. Swords have a mythical sort of aura around them. They are the weapon of the brave, honorable and legendary. It just makes me feel powerful to kill stuff with my sword.

mythical aura?.... WTF?

you know its digital code you are holding in your hand... with texmod you can make that weapon look like anything you want

so if A is greater than B

why in the world would you choose B?
im sure when VHS beat Betamax .... they said the exact same thing.... /sigh at society

so u think swords are basically worthless then do you?

maybe they aint as strong as their axe and hammer counterparts but they have the most reliable damage range out of ANYTHING, 15-22 is highly reliable

dont post threads calling people 'noobs' because they dont use YOUR favourite weapons
