Had this idea while browsing OT...

Would it be possible to implement a way to report a bad thread/post without actually viewing the thread itself?

I ask this because of the prevalence of porn spam threads. Since I usually browse at work or school, I'm afraid to open these threads to report them since I don't know whether they have pictures in them or not. I want to help out by reporting them, but don't really want to open up the thread to hit the report button, as I don't want to freak out my co-workers/classmates.

Other then pm-ing the mod for that forum, could there be a way for us to report thread like this?

I don't know if a feature like this could be abused, and haven't really considered the ramifications of such. As I said, it was just a thought.

Thanks.

No, there's not a way for Vbulletin to do this. I do have to say though, that if you scroll over a thread the first few lines are previewed for you. I've yet to have to open up a thread to know if it's spam or not. I delete on sight without going into the thread. You can also, though it's work, right click on the thread and grab the properties link and PM that to a mod of your choosing or myself.

Sometimes I don't need to, since it's pretty easy to tell from the title of the thread if it's spam or a porn ad. Only reason I didn't want to open them is because of the chance it may have "objectionable" pictures in it.

Just didn't know if there was a way to report without opening the thread or pming a mod.

Thanks, Inde. Everyone's doing a great job, admin-wise, by the way.
