I was just curious, what would be right to say the conversion from ectos to gold would be. Like, how much would 1 ecto be worth? People charge ectos along with normal plats for like a Kuun, and it would be nice to know exactly HOW much you are ACTUALLY paying for that Kuun.
So, a simple conversion would be nice. Feel free to move this thread wherever you see fit, or delete it all together.

freaky naughty
People usually measure it as 1k less than rare material trader.

Kuunavang I think is how you spell it. Basically a mini dragon flying around. And by the way, thanks for the conversion. I assume this could've just been solved by asking someone, but it would seem a little awkward now wouldn't it.

It's not advanced math really...
100k + 20e = 100k + 20 * 4.7? = 194k
100k + 20e = 100k + 20 * 4.7? = 194k

1k less than mat trader used to work when ectos were 8-9k, but I was checking rare mat trader last night. 4.8k at trader, people buying and selling at toa for 4.7k.
Honestly, it's not even worth the 100g (buying) to haggle and spam.

Like with anything, it always varies. Motivated buyers (I need 100k RIGHT NOW to go own this noob in a trade) pay more than the patient; if you catch a motivated buyer, the price is higher. Reverse is true for sellers.
Realistically: 4400/4500 is about as low as you'll pay for an ecto at the moment, and 4800 is the highest 'reasonable' price (in that it's the lowest price that will immediately prompt a response to 'WTB X ecto 4800 ea').
Also, the trader doesn't matter much atm since ectos always live in the same trading range (of late).

General rule for pricing materials/dye/etc: Find the trader's buying price and selling price, then aim for the middle.

I think best way to know whats worth get half the difference what trader sells and buys.
