- Blood spikes - Necros could use armor ignoring damage for quick kills and Soul Reaping with minions to quickly fuel their energy
- R-spike - ranged spikes using the survivability and innate energy management of rangers
- Heroway - again, combining the survivability of rangers and energy factory of necros to excel
- Sytheway - this time, they added even more survivability and took advantage of ranger's expertise to its fullest in a herowayish build.
What do all these builds have in common? Innate survivability and innate energy management. They don't have to sacrifice skills to achieve what others must give up even an elite to achieve. Instead, they sacrifice attribute points, and it's easy to find several skills in a single attribute that fits the team, so what we need to nerf are not the skills, but the attributes.
Nerf the ranger's elemental bonus armor to +15. This way, it will make them more vulnerable to the elementalists and other elemental damage.
Introduce several new skills as nerfs to Soul Reaping and Expertise. First however, we must nerf the two attributes to 1 energy per 2 attributes for Soul Reaping, and 2% per attribute point for Expertise. Then, these skills will ensure the two attributes are not useless.
Soul Master: 0 E, 0 Cast, cannot recharge, Soul reaping. Skill. You gain 0...6(1-12 attribute points) energy whenever a creature dies within spirit range. This skill does not end when you die.
Experienced Expert: 0E, 0 C, cannot recharge, Expertise. Skill. Your non-spell skills' energy costs are decreased by 0...24%. This skill does not end when you die.
This way, these two characters will have to sacrifice a skill slot if they want to take full advantage of their energy management, but they do not have to if they just need some energy.
