Dervish/mo or Dervish/W?
Inferno Link
Well atm I have a level 5 derv starting out and I was just wondering, what second proffession out of Mo and W should I get on him? I was thinking mo for farming and w for wild blow mainly.
Coloneh
/w for wild blow.
monk only offers mending touch and a rez, Wild blow is usually more useful.

Wild Blow is insane on a Derv, stuff like Protector's Strike and Bull's is good too.

And what about farming? I only have 20k lol :P
jonnieboi05
refer here for farming builds.

who would you need /Mo for farming? 130? 130's suck, dont bother.

Yes getting golds every couple minutes is a terrible idea for making money. In fact delete your Dervish now lolz.

/sarcasm off With crap mods? Getting ectos is better. Coloneh is right, 130 sucks.

running is even better. 20k in a 20 minute run sounds pretty good to me.

You don't need to farm to get plenty of $$$... I get more than I need just by playing the game.
(Well, you MIGHT need to farm if you're grinding sweet tooth/drunkard/lucky/seeker of wisdom, or getting chaos gloves or fissure armor, but to be honest I'd sooner go play another game.)

Playing thru the campaign? /W for Wild Blow and use Derv skills. That's all you need. Once you get to the mainland, change secondary professions 'til your heart's content. I doubt you'll be doing any serious farming before the Hunted! quest anyway... You can change secondaries stupidly early in Nightfall, enjoy it.

Well, typically you will have access to other professions once you get the skills to start some serious farming as the poster above me said. Wild Blow works wonders on a Dervish.
Draginvry
I also agree with /W for Wild Blow. The skill does several things that a derv needs lots of. Mainly, critical hits and cancelling stances.
Monk doesn't really do anything usefull unless you are making specific farming builds. But for general gameplay, you'll usually be wasting attributes if you are specced into monk skills.

In ab I once hit a sin with Wild Blow using a sundering 20/20 15^50 scythe *under effects of lyssa*, for 211 damage. You know you love it.

Monks have [skill]mending touch[/skill]
Warriors have [skill]wild blow[/skill]
So...Warrior will be better.
