Hi, seeking for some help with my build.
Foxiel
Okay, I've run across maybe a hundred of posts where people try to find the best ultimate nuking build.. but the problem is that I'm only a level 15 and I don't have access to most of those skills that are required so can you sugest me a build that I can improve as I move forward in the game?
I prefer to use fire and earth but everything else is okay too. My secondary is monk.
Oh, and I'm playing the nightfall campaign.
Thank you.

At level 15, you won't have access to a lot of the skills - Mind Blast, for instance, isn't found untill near the end of the Nightfall campaign.
Till you've got access to a lot of skills and elites, you can't make any proper 'builds'
Just try and keep a balance...
- damage-dealing skills - 4-5 of these, things like [skill=text]fireball[/skill], [skill=text]immolate[/skill] and [skill=text]liquid flame[/skill]. Try to have a couple of low-recharge skills so you can do something useful
- energy management - so you've got energy to keep on casting - [skill=text]fire attunement[/skill], [skill=text]glowing gaze[/skill] and [skill=text]glyph of lesser energy[/skill]
- utility skills, that help your party - eles have a lot of energy to spare and can run defensive or offensive buffs that other classes might not be able to handle. Wards of all kinds, several Protection and Healing Prayers from the monk lines, PvE skills, [skill=text]blinding flash[/skill] - the list goes on.

[skill]mind blast[/skill] + [skill]rodgort's invocation[/skill] = GG
Nerfed but it's still sexy.

^ failed to read the fact that foxiel is lvl 15... and mindblast is in domain of secrets

^Failed to realise we have tomes now.
Level has nothing to do with it.
Tomes = Win.
Just farm Zaishen Keys in RA or something to unlock the skill AND get the elite tome.

Don't access of most of those skills in your account or on your elementalist alone? If you have the skills on your account, I highly suggest using tomes to get
[skill]rodgort's invocation[/skill] and [skill]mindblast[/skill] with nuking skills such as [skill]meteor shower[/skill].
[skill]Searing Flames[/skill] is also good.
If you don't have access to tomes, try getting [skill]elemental attunement[/skill] for flexibility in builds.

sorry, I was sure I checked that I have all the neccessary information
I have all the 3 campaigns, but I've been taking a break for a while and I haven't played ele so much in the past (my primary character is ranger).
I'm kind of out from this "tome" thing.. I mean what? I wasn't away for that long was I? (never heard of such a place)
But thank you so much for your replies, I'm sure I can get started with these

Tomes are items that drop only in Hard Mode, that allow you to learn any unlocked skills.
For example, if you go and capture [skill=text]Elemental Attunement[/skill] with your ranger; or unlock it with 3000 Balthazar Faction in PvP, you can use an Elite Elementalist Tome to learn it then on your Ele.

Tome isn't a place, they're an class item that allows you to learn any skill of that class as long as you have it unlocked on your account. There are elite tomes and non-elite tomes for the skills you can unlock.

GW:EN is an expansion.
But yeah, Tomes are the way to go for things like those which are near the end of the game. I think it's been explained on how to get 'em. Pyro maniac
Complete eotn:
- get some sexy elite skills (including Mind Blast) - heroes are always nice - powerfull PvE skills - level 20 ;-) then start playing nightfall edit: oh ... do you have got eotn ... ? Antithesis

I think it's been explained on how to get 'em. Tomes can only be used on Elites that you've unlocked on your account. Mind Blast still needs to be capped or unlocked for PvE via a PvP skills pack. canto

I would greatly applaud your ability if you are capable of casting all those spells while the enemy is still bunched up

Apparently sitting around waiting for over 10 seconds before your first drop of damage hits is a good choice of skills.
Foxiel
(sorry I forgot to mention that I have eye of the north as well)
Okay, so I've decided to gather some skills before hitting in to Nightfall. I have elemental attunement (elite) and meteor shower and I'm trying to get my hands on rodgorts invocation. Now I was just thinking about weapons I should get. I guess a 20/20 wand and 20/20 off-hand are good choices? Thanks everyone for posting btw! |
