Because it's easier to peg people with Blind as a ranged attacker, than having to run around blinding melee with a scythe. Essentially, guys with ranged weapons are more effective blindbots that guys with melee weapons. I prefer spear myself because spear damage owns the crap outta bow damage, but Volley's AoE can be handy in PvE.

Well Wounding Strike is good (especially with the *buff*) in NM when your bored and have 3 MM heroes. Sirius-NZ
Probably won't be re-nerfed either since it's still not terribly popular in PvP.

Having played the avatars for a while, I've drifted towards the VoS D/R build. It has comparable dps to lyssa, but it is more condusive to c-spacing while I kick all the contestant's butts on Jeapordy.

I think the question was more "why would you run it on a D/R instead of an R/D?"
