I am trying to find a suitable role for primary mesmers to be in. I am thinking Signet builds. This way, I dont have much energy concerns, recharge concerns are solved through mantra of inscriptions, and Artificer insignia would make the mesmer less squishy.

I am solving 3 problems with the primary mesmer through a single build type.

I'd recommend Factions because you want to play Assassin, and because your friend has it. You said you wanted EotN for the title bonus, but wearing it outside the Norn territory has no effect.
