Character Shifted In Slot

I have Prophecies and EotN so I have a total of 4 character slots. My main character was in the leftmost slot. However, when I created a new character, my main was moved to the second slot from the left. My question is why did it do that and is there anyway to put my main character back to the leftmost slot? Thanks in advance.

You can sort them. check in the upper left side of your screen

Top left corner ther's a "re-arrange" clicky.
...or you could just mouse your mouse a bit to the right.

You can sort by PvP/PvE or Alphabetically. Other than that it seems to be random. Afaik there is no way to place them where you want them.
Side note: Whichever character you last played should be the one displayed when you next load the game.

No actually my character was "forced" to shift. It wasn't sorting. but after creating and deleting multiple characters and changing sortings, I was able to force my character back to the original position. Thanks a lot guys.

Once you get more than 4 slots youll see that sorting them is the only logical way to do it. Try 12
