Hellow ; i really want to rename my character name ..
I know this is only possible in 1 way : Gettin reported [ read as multiple times ] for a bad / invalid / offending name .

Does anyone here already manage to do something like this ?
Or could anyone give me some information about this pls xD ?
Is there a chance getting your character deleted ? [ i heard something about next time logging in they force you to change the name .. ]

See the point is ; i want a nice looking character for GvG [ which i have ] i don't intend to play any more
PvE so that won't be an option .. and over 850k has been customized for it =)

delete your character and start over. If you have gone too far in the game to delete it then you have gone far enough to live with the name.

So far, the only ways are yours or Tommarrow's way. There's a thread in Sardelac asking for a name change ability, but I don't think it'd be implemented since it'd also be open to abuse.

You can't. If you try and get banned just for a name change, they'll more then likely ban you permanently. Your name also has to be offensive. If you get people to report you just for fun, Anet will look at your name, find there's nothing wrong with it, and then ignore the reports.

You just have to deal with it.

I am not sure why changing your name (or your appearance for that matter) is an issue that Anet can't allow. I don't see how any "abuse" could occur since you wouldn't get anyone else's name and offending names are still against the EULA. For that matter, I don't see why transferring characters between accounts is prohibited either.

However, I expect Anet could charge a fee for each event. Anyone still interested and willing to show Anet how it could also benefit them?

They're not worried about that. They're worried about the ridiculous amount of work it would take to do that.

Or worse, hand out temp bans to those people for abusing /report.
