"Concise Skill Description Option "....Why?
freekedoutfish
Ok can someone please explain to me why I just logged onto GWs and I now have a choice between a traditional and concise skill description?
Im usually one to defend Anet.. but is this what they have been doing with their time! They must be really scrapping the barrel to think of things to do. Im pretty sure there are more important things to resolve or impliment into GWs1!
I would just like to have an explanation as to why this was needed?

Discussion is here. I believe Gaile weighs in on the matter somewhere in there too.

It's something people have been asking for, so they got it.

I didnt notice anyone asking for this in all the time ive played.

I have never seen anyone asking for this either.
This is one of the most pointless updates.
Fix one of the MANY bugs in the bug section before making useless things like this.

People DID ask for it. Some stuff like prophecies era condition removal skills were plain ridiculous. And some descriptions were quite redundant and unclear.
Noone expected anet to redo all skill descriptions thou.
Besides, they didn't waste any resources on this ... what else should copywriter do? Its not like they can help with any bug fixes or new features and GW2 is too far to make any work on it that they wouldn't throw away

My thoughts exactly.
This goes into arenanet's "we got bored" bin, along with the "vitally important Cynn's dress bug". No more can anyone say "they're busy with gw2" when they come out with, quite honestly, small things like this.

They get yelled at for things, by us, but that doesn't mean they do them.

It probably took little or no time at all to code as its probably something they are working on for GW2.
Good way to test out what people are going to like dislike for the nex gw incarnation.

If it bothers you...just leave it the way it was. Is this really a major concern for you? If this is your biggest concern...you have it made!

Because people in Sardaleic have been asking for this for forever.
For example, why does restore condition need to list every single condition (but not get updated to include cracked armor, which it does remove)?
