I totally understand your concerns. In French, there was a campaign entitled "You are not on a mobile phone but on a webforum!" but I couldn't find an equivalent in English.

I'm not a native speaker, but I do make the effort of writing as correctly as possible. It's a matter of respect.

Yes I love how Kumu Honua "Directly" mistranslated Britches and Hoses into bitches and hoes. It's hos, not hoes. The former being the slang for a prostitute and the latter being a gardening tool.

That is all besides the point, I find it simply amazing how many people have stated that players should only have "Role Playing" names. To find a name offensive is understandable. To force your gaming standards on other people in a Massive Mulit Player On line Game, is one part ignorant one part arrogant.

I much prefer that to an MMO RPG with no standards, where people can abuse the "fun factor" at the expense of other's sensibility. Of course, the oppositve should not be true where all sorts of rules are imposed. Freedom should always be balanced with some forms of duties, like respect.

The ban is stupid and uncalled for IMO, just bug the hell out of appeal, the name isn't offensive itself so I don't see why it should be banned. Probably, as others have said, someone out to get you over an argument in AB perhaps?
