More loot when not nuke all at the same time?

i have a small question. Do you get more loot if you kill a big mob of mosters with silver armor or if you nuke 'em all at the same time??
i've heard rumors that silver armor is better if you want more loot.
sry for my bad english btw

I don't think it really makes a differance, however I don't have a pve ele to tell you for sure
But I hate when groups of 6++ drop 1 thing if anything and groups of 3 each will drop something

Best way is to sweet talk them while olias steals their wallets.
Drops are ramdom and i dont think that the way to kill them influences in anyway what they will drop.
But having Jora, Herta, Devona and Cynn in your party will likely make their jaws drop.

I've tested this out a bunch of times on the glacial stone farm with my ele. Using sliver armor to kill them one at a time has always gotten more overall drops then blasting a large group of them at once with Crystal waves.

In my experience, killing one at a time gives you more merch food, but same number of golds/stones/ectos/shards/gooddrops

It is very noticeable when comparing the two... AoE nuking to Non-AoE farming, can make quite the difference in drops. Obviously Anet did not like seeing people take the easy way out to farming big mobs of enemies and making alot of money at the same time, so they went ahead and made it so you don't as many drops when you kill big mobs all at the very same second (such as AoE Nuking). It isn't proven or mentioned anywheres by Anet or Guildwars, but it is just one of those changes they keep unsaid. Again, it is very noticeable comparing any AoE Farmer to other Non-AoE farming builds... But yeah, Sliver does seem to give you alot more drops because you are mostly killing enemies one by one. You definately get rewarded more with drops when you inflict damage and kill enemies out of sync. If you want as many extra drops as possible, non-AoE farming is the way to go. Anything in between can be best to use... something that will kill enemies fast, but will make most of the enemies die at different times. My 330hp Rt/Mo build is very good example of a solo farming build that will kill enemies fast, and give you alot of drops at the same time. Extra merch food means extra profit, and can almost double your profit of your farming runs.
Another way to notice this, is pulling 20+ enemies and use a build that will kill them all at the very same time.... You be lucky if you get any more than 5 drops from 20 enemies. If you were to pull smaller groups and kill them with a non-AoE farming build, you would most likely get 15+ drops from 20 enemies. Of course everyone is going to argue this, but as a gw player that spends most of my time playing PvE and doin alot of Farming, I can easily notice this.... just another way to make the game harder to make money.

Actually, I have gotten the exact opposite. After taking sliver armor out of my build, and using ether nightmare, cry of pain, and crystal wave, I have noticed that when I drop a group all at once the amount of loot is a lot more then if I take a few down with sliver armor before killing the majority of them. Just my experience with ele farming.

Read Skinny Corpse's thread on drop rates, it has very interesting results.

i don't think that thread was ever proven wrong either
