Both items are dropped by creatures as treasure. Just like normal items/gold. As for what they do, your best bet is to check the wiki. Follow any interesting links for more info.

Anyone a good place to farm with a warrior in Tyria. I reallly want to get alot of these and work on my treasure hunter title with those eggs :P
