Okay I bought the Platinum Edition of Guild Wars the otehr day, that had the prophecies campaign and eye of the north. When I installed it downloaded and installed a bunch of stuff, I've noticed that the factions and nightfall campaigns appear under campaigns, but are blacked out because I don't have them. Do I have to install them from the discs or has the game already installed them and all I need is to input the access keys? Thanks in advance.

You can just add an access key for the campaigns and be able to play them. No actual disc is needed - and you can -image to make sure all the files are downloaded for all the chapters.

What do you mean by -image?

An -image means editing the "target" in the Guild Wars shortcut on your desktop so that it reads "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\gw.exe" -image (this can vary depending on where you have Guild Wars installed).

What this does is download all files that have changed since the EotN installation CD was released, updated skills, maps, armor graphics - that sort of stuff. It can be a lengthy download, but it saves a hell of a lot of grief in the long run. Once it's finished, edit the shortcut again to remove the -image, and away you go

Right click on the GW tab and go to properties. You should see something similar to this:

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"
add a space and type in -image. It should look like this:

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image
And just remove the -image when you actually want to play. It will download all the files so you don't have to download them whenever you zone somewhere.
