Where is the major market place?

I am new to Guild wars, and I wanna know where can I buy or sell items, like weapons,minipets,crafting materials and other stuff. Thanks!

It depends on which game you have:

Prophecies = [wiki]Lion's Arch[/wiki]
Factions = [wiki]Kaineng Center[/wiki]
Nightfall = [wiki]Kamadan, Jewel of Istan[/wiki]

For prophecies, it is mainly L.A or to a lesser extent, Droks. These are where the majority of the players buy/trade.

However, you included crafting materials so I am guessing you are looking for places that provide a full service (weaponsmith, armor crafter, dye trader, rune trader, reg/rare mat. trader) for the player.

For prophecies, it would be L.A, Droks, Ascalon City, Oasis, and Hod

Since you are new to GW it's worth pointing out that you should use the trade channel when selling and buying.

Just check out what others are doing and you will soon pick it up.

generally, I have the best luck selling weapons/mods in LA...whereas crafting materials sell better in Droks because that is where you get max armor.

only luck I have in NF selling things is spamadan (Kamadan)

and I dont have factions, but I guess its Kaineng City

QFT. You can get temporarily banned for spamming WTB, WTS, etc in local chat. Use trade chat or party search to avoid a ban.

Kamadan has ~50% of the trading population. LA has ~25%. The rest are scattered between Droknar's, Kaineng, Shing Jea (starter goods), Great temple of balthazar (mostly zaishen keys), and some other minor cities.

For pre searing, it would be Ascalon City all the way!

And for post searing, it'll still be Ascalon City... for a while.

Once you get to Lion's Arch, you're set to go .
