Can't Create New Character

Never had this problem before. I try to create a new character and I lose connection. I can log into the game with created characters, but when I try to make a new one as soon as I click on next after selecting PvE I get a box which says Connecting........

Sounds like Anets registration server might be bugged.

If more players post with the same problem, then you know the answer.
