Report - :/

Sorry if this is the right place. I don't think GWGuru is the proper place but I figured I could get some people to direct me to the right place.

I was just "scammed" so to speak and was wondering if Anet could repair the issue. The text from the game (chat logs) would verify my claim.

Basically I was out in the open areas (NKP) and was in a party trading. Another person, {name removed} was trading with another person "{name removed} a undedicated miniature gwen. He dropped it and said there was a certain glow. Didn't see it so I moved quite a distance away and dropped my undedicated miniature kuunavang. I didnt see it and I tried to immediately pick it back up but the player {name removed} teleported to me and picked it up before I could.

This happened around 1 pm pst on Thursday March 20th, 2008
We were the only 3 in the party.

If anyone knows if ANet ever tries to fix these based off of chat/game logs, please let me know. (Or if Gaile Gray has investigated anything to this extent)

Yes I know I probably should have been more aware, but the fact of the matter is there and any logs would back up my claim.

(i hate scammers, they are the bottom feeding scum of the game that make people very unhappy just so they can get their cool pixel armor)

Another player "Eewar The Brave" is in LA AD1 right now saying he lost his tormented sword to {name removed} as well.

Oh yeah, and you should never post igns in a post here.

Ok, i was in FoW and we where getting ready to do Khobay without going to clear our inventories. An obsidian shard dropped and i didnt have any room because i didnt get any earlier and i didnt have any room, so i had a req 9 15^50 chaos axe right next to some dust i didnt want and i accidently dropped the axe (i should have been more careful). Luckily someone nice enough picked it up and gave it back to me.

Take your chat logs and report him the old fashion way via support. You won't get your mini back and Anet might not even do anything about it, but if he is constantly scamming folks, you just never know.

Btw, some light reading so you don't fall for some other common scam attempts.

You are not allowed to post IGNs on this forum without permission.
The only thing you can do is contact support, and try to avoid scams in the future. ANet will not return any items or gold. No one here can help you. Check the links in DarkFlame's post.

Correct me if I'm wrong, isint there an option to the /report command where you can report someone who scammed you???

Some people may be quite new to online gaming and not fully aware of this kind of thing happening, so some peoples comments are certainly not needed.

I generally think getting scammed once is a shame getting scammed alot is pretty daft.

Go to support and see what they can do there and just ignore the negative comments from some people they just get their jolly's from being a bully to others.

If you have screen shots, send them to anet support. They might be able to help. If you are in a guild/alliance, tell everyone there and have them all pm him saying he's going to get banned and he needs to give back what ever he took from you. It's worked before.

Report the incident to ANet, either with /report <the guy's IGN> or by going through PlayNC (if /report doesn't work for you)

I don't know (and kind of doubt) you'll get your stuff back, but if ANet looks and finds a history of him scamming folks, they'll supposedly perma-ban him.
