When ever I insert the Guild Wars CD into my drive on my HP Pavilion laptop (which is running Vista and DirectX 10 on it), it pops up and starts to connect to ArenaNet. Now, it gets nearly done and then it all just comes to a halt. I am not sure what to do any more... I thought it may be a Vista or Direct X problem, but I read in the forum that that should not be a problem.
I DO have the game installed on another machine of mine, it is a desktop machine, and it use to run just fine. Now, however, it is having the same problems. Does anyone know what I may have to do to fix this?
Please help me, I have had the game for 3 years and have greatly enjoyed playing it. I do not really want to have to stop playing it (seeing as to how I have bought 2 expansion packs and was getting ready to buy two more) just becuase of a problem like this...
Installation Problem: Arena Net Connection

Try and download it from the Guild Wars official website, you don't really need the CD to install it.
Also check and make sure your firewall isn't blocking the connection, for instance I've heard of Norton doing such things.
