Question About Death Nova On A Hero MM!

If I was to give my hero MM [skill]Death Nova[/skill], I'd hope that he would use it on one of his minions. Would this be the case of would he waste it on either myself or one of my heroes/hench?

i think he would use on minions but u should try it out befote reling on it

They usually use it on whoever is close to dying. Minions, allies, party members, whoever is close.

Let's ask Sab...

Me: "Hey, Sab - that minion bomber in your world-famous "Sab's Build" - does it use Death Nova well?"

Heh, "in b4 close" as they say, just to point out I work for the Underground, I'm on nights and I finish at 06:30.

Then home for a few hours of GW and bed at around 11am

I only use Death Nova in hard mode. My Olias tends to lag behind just to secure his assets, and I can't have that in NM where everything dies so quickly.

That's true, it is annoying waiting for him to catch up. Far too many times I've headed into battle then realised he's not there.

I think, though, that Heroes probably use DN better than humans, because they presumably know exactly which minions they have already cast it on.

Yeah, heroes are better at microing skills than humans are.

*sigh* this "sab" gets too much credit for what he deserves for such a crappy build.

you have this reversed... it's HM that things "die quick in" and NM that things seem to never die (even with a full group of echo-mending warriors...) xD

Well Jonnie, Anything that enables the masses to do hardmode is considered good, by the masses :P
And yes, Deathnova gets spammed on anything below 50% HP (More or less)

I've always found my mm heroes spam death nova very well, probably better than most humans do

He'll use it on the minions primarily and on you or your heroes if he thinks you're going to die in the next few seconds.

Heros are very good at using Death Nova, better than humans, to the point that it is the basis for the "sabway" build. Builds which are centered on the damage from Death Nova are known as "minionbombers", if you do a search for that you will find lots of posts.

Most heroes use DN very effectivly, whenever i see one of my minions die, i see the telltale explosion and watch the enemies get poisoned. and even if they use it on a player, its got a 2 second recharge, i think the minions can wait 2 seconds, and if not, he can make more ^^
