I'm considering using a Curses Necro but the build I want to give him includes skills such as Spiteful Spirit, Barbs etc which are hex spells and was wondering whether or not they'd use them sufficiently.
I only ask because when I was running Norgu with Backfire (Hex), he NEVER seemed to use it, even on casters.
Are Heroes Any Good At Using Hexes Properly?

You could have just asked this in your other thread. Barbs is used pretty liberally. Spiteful, not so much.

and imo, no, from all the testing with skills i've done, hexes are pretty bad with heroes for using them the way you want to use them.

OK should I delete this then? I don't wanna risk getting banned considering all the questions I have on my mind at the moment ![Stick Out Tongue](../../Img/tongue.gif)
And by the way, if things like barbs & SS are bad on heroes as they're hexes, how come they're 2 of the main skills in sabway which people seem to like so much?

If I am using hexes on heroes - I always consider fast recharging hexes to be good hexes. The guys will spam them - not choosing who they throw them on. And if a hex recharges fast - even if they DO mess up - we have just a few secs to wait before they get another go.
(Well of course next to the fact that the effect of the hex needs to be good! That's why something like [skill]Shadow Of Fear[/skill] is preferred over [skill]Meekness[/skill]. You have the same effect - but the area of effect is smaller so the skill deserves a smaller cost. A much better skill.)

A Curses bar is run better by a Human because of our target prioritisation - we drop SS, RH, MoP, EB etc on non-priority melee targets to make the most of the skills, Heroes drop them wherever they feel like it eg wasting SS on a Monk enemy.
A SS Hero is in Sabway to boost the physical damage of Minions, protect your backline and take advantage of their energy machine. The SS has the energy to toss around hexes that weaken the physical threat of the melee train bearing down on your squishies. Most of the skills on the SS have some AoE effect, so it'll hit something it needs to hit eventually. It's a haphazard approach but it works more often than not. Take away the MM and there's no point taking a Hero SS.
SS itself isn't optimal, but there are no better options for the Elite in Curses. Wail of Doom's about the only viable alternative, but Heroes will waste that too.
If you run a few physicals in the team a SS is a handy addition - there are just too many useful skills in the Curses line to leave it out.
