is there any use for assassin heroes?

I can't find any other use for assassin heroes than A/R critical barrage, they don't use moebius builds correctly, also don't use critscythe builds well, are they just a waste of slot or there is some use for them?

Melee AI isn't the most reliable in general, and sins are worse because they don't know how to use their skills. So no, there is no reason to bring a sin hero.

I've seen a few people in the past make builds for them that revolved a lot around hexes. I don't have any of those builds, and I don't know if any would be viable anymore.

Ontopic: Crit Barrage is probably the best you're going to get. Luckily, there aren't any story missions that require Anton or Zenmai, so I'd probably just not use them.

Moebius/DB is probably the best build for them. Keep attack skills simple, I like to just use three: Golden Phoenix Strike, Death Blossom, and Moebius Strike. Any more and heroes get confused and do stupid stuff like Moebius Strike > Critical Strike > Death Blossom. Zenmai does around 50 DPS with that; not optimal, yea, but a lot better than critical barrage and other garbage.

I like the Golden Fox -> Golden Fang -> Blossom -> Moebius, similar deal. Add critical eye, some other random enchantment, and a run buff (maybe rush). Then add things like orders, barbs, strength of honor, etc. Cuts through destroyers like butter with the title on, since she's spamming skills constantly and has mostly armor-ignoring damage.
Always be careful with anything remotely conditional. They seem hesitant to use wild strike on someone not in a stance, for example. You can throw these skills on as extras, but they shouldn't be part of the primary combo.
Edit: also, may want to look into scythe assassins. 80% crit is nice damage. Just load them up with 3/4th attack skills.

I use Zenmai as a smiting assacaster for undead areas.
But really, that's only because I have my monks geared solely for healing and protection, and all of my other casters are doing usefull things (MM or nukes).
Zenmai just gets the dirty jobs that aren't important enough for my other heros. But she is an assassin, so she should understand.

Using Way of the Assassin and Way of the master and if you want, Critical eye with a spear or scythe seems very effective.

Anton useually starts with Enduring Toxin. My smiter monk anticipates with Necrosis. Next poison will be applied, and the the final touch is 2x Toxic Shock. Next target (often already poisoned). Once the animited circus gets out of the box this build can finish off many mobs real fast.
For Hench backup I mostly use: healer, protector, illusion and earth.

(mind you this is on my lvl 18 zenmai)
.. oh and also the classic A/P with vicious attack + way of the master/way of the assassin/critical eye (that give ~95% chance to critical with 14 Critical Strikes and 12 Spear Mastery)
..... and yes, they make good corpses too (like most other heroes)....

Pointless using an Assassin or any meelee hero, they cant do a thing, are no way cool, die a lot, aggro a lot, dont deal any dmg, dont support the team, meh, generally bad.
Dervs are the only ones worth using thx to their ability to support the party in such a godly way but they dont deal any dmg thru meelee that way.
