How is it nonsense? You resign = you quit = you are defeated. Until there is a white flag or some such, death is the only current way to show defeat.

If i'd be working in arena net I would really laugh my ass off seeing people getting pissed because you die when you resign, that death not counting toward anything, being just an animation.

The /resign is the stupidest way to record you have completed what you wanted to do and go back without losing your current party. I cannot understand the gainsayers not signing this, they most probably only play with heroes and henchmen and themselves.

Anyways, there is already one animation that is used only in a few Missions:
- That animation that the Vizier 'and' the Lich use to teleport away.
Why not use that, but instead teleporting away after the animation models turn into 'lights' until the leader hit the 'go back to last outpost' button?
That way the clueless would see if it was resign or wipe.
