Well, my problem is the same as with Trevor. Tyrian not working anymore, restarting is nto the solution. Re-downloading neither.

I could be wrong, but I believe that during one of the game updates last year Anet "broke" Cartography Made Easy. That mod had to be updated by the original mod maker. The same thing might be happening now since their was a recent update to the game. You might want to check out the user talk page for the mod.
Adriaanz#Shiro
What do you mean, with user talk page? BTW, it was working for me last week.. Now this morning not..

There is a user talk page under the "discussion" tab on the wiki. That's where I'm assuming you downloaded the mod?
Adriaanz#Shiro
Uhm, IDK where to find this talkpage, I downloaded it from wiki.guildwars.com etc etc.
It's gonna get fixed or not?
That's my main concern.

well, no offense, but, you truthfully do NOT need texmod to get 100% cartographer for any continent. if it doesn't work after serveral tests then it's time to bust out with the good 'ol self-obtained skill.

MisterB
There is nothing wrong with the Tyria-Gwen Cartography Made Easy mod. Just tested, and it is working fine. I still have the old Tyria made easy mod, and that one is still working as well. You are having a problem on your end.

I see threads like this after nearly every update. The problem is that you cannot update Guild Wars while running through texmod. You need to run the client normally, and -image the update. Then you can run it through Texmod and everything will work just fine. If that doesn't work, please let me know, and I'll try to track down the problem.
Shadow Kurd
Working fine for me too
Adriaanz#Shiro
No it's not for me. I'm situated in a Tyrian Outpost, and I run GW with TexMod, but, the blue dingamadjingas don't show. I've updated GW already.
Anyone, please help?

Adriaanz,
When you updated the last time, did you start GW through TexMod? If yes, that is your problem. TexMod swapping out a texture and the game being updated has caused a conflict and the game won't run.
To correct this problem you will need to force a complete GW update OUTSIDE of TexMod. I assume you've got an icon for GW on your desktop or in your Start Menu. Make an exact copy of it wherever you want to. Now, right click on the icon, select Properties, Shortcut tab, Target field. Press End keyboard button (to get to the end of the field) and add "-image" without the qoutes. Mouse click Apply and then OK. Now rename the shortcut to "Force a full GW Update" - so you don't confuse the two shortcuts.
You've just created an icon to force a complete GW update. You should not need this on a regular basis. This is only for times when you've accidentally updated after starting GW through TexMod. As I understand it (and my understanding might not be perfect), use the -image option when running GW causes all of the old game files to be ignored in favor of downloading a completely new set of files. For all intents and purposes it's like the first time you connected to GW - you're going to download a couple hundred megabytes of data. The download time will depend on your connection speed, of course.
After that, get into the habit of checking the Game Updates page before starting TexMod&GW. Or alternately, start GW without TexMod to get any updates, log out and restart with TexMod.
Special weekend event files are added at some point on Thursdays (at least, that is the trend I've noticed recently) so at least on that day you will need to make sure to update without TexMod running. Also, whenever you see the "There is a new build of GW" announcement in the game, you will need to start without TexMod as well.

Brayolnne, you're a little off on the -image concept. The image tag just forces a download of all files not already on your machine. It doesn't ignore what you've got and redownload. However, the rest of your post is spot on. Downloading even a single file through Texmod will cause the program to bug out.
Adriaanz, I've reverified the files on the host, and checked the mod on three different systems, and everything works out fine. The problem is somewhere on your end.

I thought their was a command to force a full data file download. Do I have the wrong command?
Adriaanz#Shiro
EDIT: I can't get it allright.
At the target field there is now - "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"
When I want to add "-image" without the quotes, it always says this :
The name "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"-image is "ongeldig" (don't know the right English word) .
Make sure the name is right.
How to fix this?

Brayolnne - to get a full file download you need to delete your current GW.dat file (I normally move it to another folder for safety sake and only delete it later) and then run the -image command. It will then download the full set of files completely new for you. If you don't remove your current .dat file first then it will only download the files that you don't currently have in your .dat.
Hope this helps.

Ok, the last two messages answer the remaining issues / questions.
Correct the shortcut by adding a space. Move the *.dat files into another folder. Click on the corrected shortcut and you should re-download everything. Once the download is complete, run GW without TexMod. You want to give the game a chance to get itself completely set-up without issues.
After that, just make sure to either look at the Game Updates page on GuildWars.com or start the game normally, exit and re-start with TexMod, to make sure you don't accidentally update the game while running mods.
Thanks MisterB & Friday for your assistance.

To wich folder then, you mean?

Brayolnne
Make sure TexMod and GW are not running.
Create a new folder, anywhere on your computer. Drag and drop the *.dat file(s) to the new folder you just created.
Fix the shortcut to have one space right after the ending qoutation mark and then -image. So the end of the Target line will appear as: " -image
Click Apply and OK.
Now just click on the corrected shortcut to get GW to re-download all of the data file(s).

It doesn't work -.- . When I start to run GW after moving the .dat file to another map, it says --> Unable to open archive file
Guild Wars is unable to access it's archive file
C:/ blabla , make sure that the file is not used by another program and is writeable.
~Liek, wtf?

Ok, I have no idea what to tell you at this point. Not sure if this is a GW or Windows Vista problem.
You should contact ArenaNet's tech support / customer service via the PlayNC website. I don't happen to have the link, but maybe someone else will come by and provide it.
