New concept for chat windows.

Hey guys, it always seems like guild recruitment advertisements are flooding local chat, what do you all think of a new tab (like the local, trade, guild, alliance, etc. tabs) strictly for guild recruitments? I think this would help a lot to unclutter local chat and make it easier for in town discussions.
Also, a while back Anet really started cracking down on selling in local chat, and just generally using the the chat for the wrong things. However, lately it seems like a lot of people have been selling/buying in local chat with no punishment. This is extremely annoying and I think it needs to be added to the code of conduct to not do that, as well as enforced more strictly. It's really not that difficult to click the trade tab, and half the time I think people are just doing it to annoy you.
What do you guys think of all that?

This way I won't have to keep reporting those all-caps, linguistically-challenged spammers to PlayNC.

Sounds like a solid idea to me.

i agree with the guild part 100%, but for buying and selling, its a little different. for one, usually people in the trade channel are always selling weapons, and usually just sitting there spamming it for hours. now i have nothing against that for i do it aswell, but when you're in need to buy something real quick that is in a high supply, i think its ok to use local chat. for example. i was in Lions Arch district 1 spamming trade channel to buy black dyes, for 20 minutes i didnt get a response. so then i went to district 2 and tried the local chat, just typed in, buying black dye. i got a PM in about a minute. the reason for this is that people who are just sitting in a large population city usually block out the trade channel because they dont feel like having they're screen filled with spams of high end weapons, or other things for that matter. although i can see where you coming from, saying that spam selling/buying in local chat is really annoying, but if you're just once or twice saying you want to buy something, then i think thats totally fine.

lol Agreed, but I doubt it would work as most people would automatically turn it off.

Good guilds don't recruit in chat. They actually have people come towards them ;-)

My concerns re not for the people who do it once or maybe twice, but for those who spam constantly in local and when you ask them to use trade they say "f u" and keep doing it. This happens ALL the time in places like Lion's Arch and Kamadan.

The guild recruitment tab would work actually. When I am guildless I go to Lion's Arch and look in local for a good guild recruiting, and I'm sure other people do that as well. So instead of looking in local where they all spam, just look in the Guild Recruitment tab, or possibly GR for short, for the guild that suits you.

We have a trade channel, doesn't mean people stick to it. You still get idiot's using local chat, and when kindly asked to move to Trade channel, the reply "omfg wat u wnt a ban or sumfin? coz im adamin".
Tbh, just because it's implemented doesn't mean people will stick to it.
Kudos to the idea however (even though not original)

Getting rid of trade spam just highlighted an equally annoying spam.

I'm not going for originality, I'm going for functionality. I think if they did this things in chat would be much better.
