which is better voltaic dyed black, or crystalline sword for a monk caster weapon?

ok just bought voltaic skin for it you think it looks good, now ima buy cele compass, or torment.

Coolness is relevant to the individual user. I know for a fact that a lot of people find the crystalline to be atrocious, while others love it.

Well, really if I had either, I would sell them, but if that is out of the question, I would take the spear (pulling maybe?)

Go with whatever weapon you can get with the mods, don't need to be fancy.

Go with whichever matches your armor. I personally favor the voltaic spear over the sword.

I think you should choose something that matches your armor. An image would be helpful, but there are additional ideas in the armor or weapons threads (screenshot).

TBH it goes on through a lotta people's heads, it's scary.

That's pretty much what I think too. I don't like the crystalline at all (overpriced plastic weapons FTL) and the voltaic doesn't look too good with MY monk. Between both, however, I'd go for the spear.

My main monk's weapons:
- Gothic sword
- Chaos Axe
- Platinum Broadsword
- Greater Guardian Spear

My other caster weapons:
- Celestial Sword (necro)
- FDS (ele)
- Greater Sage Blade (ritualist)
- Greater Dark Scimitar (mesmer)
- Shadow Axe (female monk)

My fav ever:
- Gothic/Legendary sword.

and to answer the Question, Any weapon with 20% enchanting and plus 5 energy.

My elementalist is quite partial to a Fiery Gladius which is what an ele sword should have looked like, but she's got a spear as well. Different weapons for different purposes, and as said take whatever fits your style.
