I know most people prolly unlock the access to Xunlai chest as soon as they get the gold. I think there should be a title given to you for not buying Xunlai access until level 20 (or even higher).

Obviously there are loopholes as people can trade stuff or pick up stuff dropped by others. So to patch this loophole, you forfeit the title if you complete a trade transaction or pick up anything dropped by others.

What would be the point of this title?

As in, why would you display it (Brag)?

Just like a million other titles in the game. Serve no real purpose but time sink.

Titles will supposedly unlock things in GW2. I'm wondering what the Unencumbered title would unlock - a massive storage? Chameleon weapons?

no offense, but, from what i've learned in my time on GW, the only people who say this sort of thing are the people who could never get these for themselves in the first place.

an example... some-1 has FoW armor and another person sees this person and pm's them (or even says it in local chat, for that matter) and says, "hey, nice FoW. where'd you get it? ebay?".

another example... some-1 sees someone with the title "god walking amongst mere mortals and pm's them (and again, in a different scenario, says in local chat) and says, "hey. nice title. it must suck to have no life or friends."

it's very annoying, and, to me, titles represent you have "been there" and "done that". titles, to me, represent you spent your precious time and completed tasks that other people not dare to even dream on trying to go after. titles, to me, represent a self-worth in the sense that you have conquered a part of the game where others have failed.

Too me titles have no real point. I got koabd on my monk coz its easy to get r1. I might EVENTUALLY get more, but im in no rush.

However, I do see that some people have spent time and effort on them, and gg to them.

On the other hand, this title serves no purpose. If you can't pick something up then thats sucky. Also this would just bring about serious powerlevelling issues. Run to droks, powerlevelled bang max title in 0 time, 0 effort THEN pay the dood. too big a loophole.

Finally, what would this title show that you have achieved?

All other titles show you're good at something, or have spent time doing something.

This shows that you... had nothing of value in storage?
wanted to create a character from zilch?

Seems stupid to me.

no..just no....
a title that stops you from trading/using storage with anyone till you reach level 20.
its easy and pointless imo, sorry.

in cantha getting to level 20 takes 10 hours ~
pretty easy not to trade/use storage in the period.

It's a bad thing to introduce titles that are impossible to acquire for toons created earlier. It will cause the same QQ as with Survivor, which loads of people couldn't get because it was implemented waaaay after they started their character.

So you get it automatically on your first character?

It would be senseless, like a title for not using weapons or not forming parties.

Can we have a title for minutes AFK too?

I really had hope that this would have been a title for doing stuff H/H'd, but that probably wouldn't have been a good idea either.

stupid idea, the implemention of this shit would lead to the same idiocy, like that old characters are unable to become anyhow legendary survivor/LDoA ...

To exaxtly this shit would lead this title only, after implemention you would have 5 Million complaining players about, being unable to receive this title , because they have all already unlocked their Xunlai Chests, before this title was implement.

I actually do this on every one of my characters until they've amassed 100K. Makes playing them truly "fresh", kinda like the good ole days of presearing.

I don't need a title for that personal achievement, however.

i agree with half ur arguement but lvl 6koabd sorta takes ages and does seem pointless, that title seems to be just boring and grind

This is true for the HM titles (vanquisher and guardian). If someone has GWAMM then they have to have done some pointless grind, like sweet tooth, drunkard, saviour of the luxons/kurzicks (I consider this grind for people who HFFF specifically for the title, but not for people trying to capture towns), SS/LB (admit it, no one would max these, or even bother getting past R4 LB if you didn't get a KoaBD point for it), etc.

Fail idea. A title for doing nothing.
