OK i was messing around with my skill bar on my fire elementalist and came up with the following.

[skill]Elemental Attunement[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Aura of Restoration[/skill][skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill][skill]Immolate[/skill][skill]FireBall[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Resurrection Chant[/skill]

Fire Magic 12+1+3
Energy Storage 12+1

Well basically it is fire version of the Dual Attunement Air. What i was trying to do was inflict good amounts of damage over a continous time with out down time.
However recently i have been finding that i have about a second down time between all three attacking skills.
So i am calling upon you guru's to suggest a good spiking build that could replace Meteor Shower. (lower the cast time the better lol)

Also Fireball Does Not suck before any says it does lol. It is a great spiking move.

Thnx in advance

personally, i would remove immolate, fireball, andf elemental attunement. and yes, i am going to say it, fireball DOES suck. it is not what i would call a "spike", nor is immolate.

although fireball reads "7..91..119", that does NOT mean it will hit for that. at most, and IF you're lucky, you will hit for 65-75, and that's assuming you hit a soft target and have 16 fire.

but this is just my 2 cents, so...

Remove Aura of Restoration and Fireball.

Split between Energy Storage and Earth Magic, 9/9.
Put in Ward Against Melee.

For Fireball -- Put in some cheap-ish and strong AoE. Searing Heat is actually quite strong.

Maybe remove Immolate for Arcane Echo for Rodgorts Invocation spammage.

id agree that fireball sucks. id probably switch it out for searing heat or something like that, and immolate isn't the best either.. although its good enough to keep in there. you could replace aura of restoration with glyph of sacrafice or another AoE skill I.E. Teinai's Heat or breath of fire (which isnt the best).

Maybe remove Immolate for Arcane Echo for Rodgorts Invocation spammage. thats kinda changing the entire build though, but i agree that SH is a great skill, especially echoed and used with burning gaze or w/e the hell it is (lol)

Fireball and Immolate are fine, escpecially given the nature of dual-attunement builds and the lenghtened recharge on Rodgort's now - you really ought to have them low-recharge spells to do something in the downtime.

The only thing that really needs to be done is drop Meteor Shower for a skill that doesn't suck - go 16 fire, 10+1 earth magic and 8+1 energy storage and then check out some of these

As for Aura of Restoration... if an area has notable levels of enchantment stripping, take it so your energy engine doesn't die.
If not, throw on another ward, [skill=text]Arcane Echo[/skill] for Rodgort's, a big AoE spell like [skill=text]Teinai's Heat[/skill].

And get yourself a 20/20 wand and offhand, and recharge/casting times become less 'meh'

Bloodghoul The first off all it are all High-energy skill cost.. You got the right attunements but still.. If you forgot them.. your gone.. .. The casting time of Meteor Shower is soo long.. I think i know a better build for you.. Just the SF build

[skill]Searing Flames[/skill][skill]Glowing Gaze[/skill][skill]Liquid Flame[/skill][skill]Glyph Of Elemental Power[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Glyph Of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Resurrection Chant[/skill]
I hope you know it now.. and you need to have on all armor pieces Survivor's Insignia on your headpiece+1 firemagic and +3 Firemagic rune. On you body u take +fortitude rune and on an other one just +1 minor Energy Storage

i am going to assume you have all the expansions.

if you like dual attune then try

fire attune
aura of resto
ele attune
rodgorts invocation
glowing gaze
liquid flame
fireball
rez

energy managment never hurts to have as a backup incase the enchants get stripped. and if you have mind blast switch elites.

And get yourself a 20/20 wand and offhand, and recharge/casting times become less 'meh' Completely agree! My thoughts exactly Been playing ele for nearly 3 1/2 years now and I have tried almost every combonation. Having something to spam while you wait for those skills to recharge would be nice, Lava arrows can be catch 22 because they have half range so I would discourage you from using them. Its not normalcy edict for an ele to be so close to their enemy in pve. You may want to consider droping your dual attunment (my first ele build too) and repalce elemental attunment with Mindblast. This will still give you that security felling of not running out of mp while giving you a spamable skill.

Either way let us know what you choose, and good luck!
