Question about being banned

If you get banned for having an unacceptable character name, will anet delete that character? It's name was "Avatar of Teh Jezus". I'll be pretty pissed if they do, because he's over 10 months old. I just don't understand why they didn't delete him earlier.

They may delete him or give you the option to change it. It's up to them, and it depends on the name.

They'll probably give you the chance to change it then, since it's not completely, horribly offensive. Someone just reported you for it.

I don't know though, it's up to them.

It's also really sad that people play a coRPG....RPG being the effective word here. And still continue to come up with useless pathetic names >.>

What I don't understand is, why 1 week? Bans are usually 70 hours or so. A week for that name is a little rediculous, wouldn't you agree?

I agree that a week seems a bit long for a ban about a name. If you contact support (http://support.guildwars.com) they'll be able to change the name for you. After that, you'll just have to wait until the week is over.

Anyhow, threads about being banned aren't allowed... Even though it's not really QQ'ish. So yeah, I'll have to close it
