What is PA,HA,RA....?! Nerd language help me!!

PA-?? No clue, never heard that one.
HA- Heroes ascent- It's a PVP area that you battle teams of 8, eventually go to the Hall of Heroes. This is the only place you can gain fame.
RA- Random Arenas- random teams of 4 killing each other- PVP.
TA- Team arenas.Like random arenas, except people team up before hand- PVP.

They aren't really nerd words, just abbreviations.

PvE is mostly farming in the storyline like UW and FoW, missions, elite areas,... all ways to earn money

So guilds just go in groups like farming... why dont they call it farming?

HA = heroes ascent
RA = random arenas
TA = team arenas
AB = alliance battles


and GvG.. this is NOT PvE ([P]ayer [v]ersus [E]nvironment). it is PvP ([P]layer [v]ersus [P]layer).

Because its not farming. Farming is playing solo to get good drops.

What they are doing is just playing the game (a group of 8, kill stuff and doing quests in a specific zone). The reason people use abbrivations like DoA, UW, FoW, is to tell people WHERE to go. You can't say in guild chat.. "hey, we are going to go kill stuff." Umm... okay, where?

They call it many forms.

1. is Solo farming 2 kinds 1 is when 1 person and that person only goes out and kills stuff, the other is when 1 person and a hero or a h/h team goes out and kills stuff. both are considered solo because it is you and only you no other real people.


2. is group farming this can consist of 4-6 to 8 man teams killing stuff for the drops.

3. is duo farming or 3 man farming. this is when 2 players go into a area to kill things.(mostly 600/smiter,55/ss,105,ss and any other 2 man setup) 3 man trapping is when 3 rangers go trap kill a area by laying enough traps to kill any group pulled into it.

4. is a group where teams, normaly 8 man teams set up to kill a area (they want to kill, not kill for the drops which is what differs this from farming)

PA = paragon???????????????????????? not sure

PA = Power Attack

PA is probably Fort Aspenwood (FA).

To be honest, all they were doing was trying to shorten their post length - this way it shows up under the search party menu and people can read the whole post - or at least get the important bits!

I don't PvE to make money...I do it to explore the lore and plot. Making money and getting items is just a bonus.

To the OP: The abbreviations can be confusing and are overused IMHO...however, you should be careful calling them "nerd words" because you will make enemies...and it is not really true. I am an opponent of all the PC nonsense...but you should at least use true labels. I definitely wouldn't call using abbreviations "nerd speak"...more accurately, it is esoteric jargon.
