Daily Quests

Now I understand you might think this idea is just ripped straight from WoW, but trust me, it's a good idea .
Either in the EOTN or as a purchasable GHall NPC there would be a questgiver called "The Master". Each day he would give a different quest chosen from a bank of quests (say 15-20 different ones). These quests can be kill quests, loot gathering quests or scouting quests (a bit like the L/K ones). Some of them have to be completed in HM. Every day at midnight the quest he offers changes, and it cycles through (randomly). You can collect these quests over several days (for example, all the weekdays) until you have time to do them (at the weekend).
To prevent farming of these quests you can only take the day's quest once per day. E.g., it can't be a boss bounty for an easy boss so you go and do the quest 30 times, getting 30x the reward.
So, in more detail:
The Master: "Ah, young adventurer. I have heard your name about, a hero they call you. But do your deeds live up to their words my friend? Prove to me you are as strong as I once was and I will make it worth your while."
Some examples of quests he might give:
Margonite Rampage "In the land of Elona a terrible force known as the margonites ravages the land. Seek them out and destroy 20 of their number. Once you have done that, return to me"

Reclaiming what is ours "Have you heard of Ascalon, youngling? It was once a mighty and proud nation, but sadly those times have past. Yet they struggle on, throwing themselves against the hordes of charr. Take out one of the Charr leaders, Lugg the Malignant in Flame Temple Corridor. Bring me his head and prove you do not fear those savages" This quest must be completed in Hard Mode.
1500xp

400 Vanguard Points

Shadow Shifters "There is a frozen ocean of jade, far beyond the Sea of Sorrows. When I was younger I traveled there, it was a beautiful place, serene and calm. But my memories are haunted by the beasts that came at night, the Oni! They tore my friends apart and left me barely alive . Bring me 3 keen oni talons and I will repay you."

1000 Luxon Faction
A long lost wonder "I've heard there are several ancient ruins scattered around the Tarnished Coast, haunted by Unseen monsters. Take this map and scout these 5 locations in Riven Earth. Tell me of what you see, or don't see..."

So, there's examples of the different types of quest he might offer. you might think the rewards are too high, I've tried to balance them. In the time it takes you to do one of those quests you could probably farm 1k, so the money seems about right. Also a small rep bonus could be nice to help those still working on maxing those titles. All the HM quests give 1k, 1500xp and a lockpick, whereas the NM quests give 1k and 1000xp.
I just think these could be added to breath a bit of repeatable (less grindy) life back into the game as well as take people to areas they've not been in a while. It would also encourage HM more than just for vanquishing, being sent to the Jungle to fight HM wind riders would be a real change from the norm. Also, like I did in the last quest, they could be used to drop little lore clues for those wanting to know more about GW2.

I love the idea, but I can't see it happening with A-nets resources pulled towards GW2 at the moment. Great idea for GW2 though.

It'd atleast give something else to do, Along with earning faction (If your idea passes in it's current form)

It would be better if they had random parts.
Like same quests, but changing locations, enemies, NPCs to protect...
If you make each quest be a combination of 4 pieces (NPC giving it, area, enemies, objective)
Then if you have 10 pieces of each type, you an combine them to have much more quests than simply 4 quests.
That could turn into infinite random quests!

Fix the location and it would be great. The only problem I see is being set in the guild hall. Not everyone has a guild so if it is ONLY in the guild hall, then many people would QQ about that. Other then that, Great Idea. /signed

I really like this idea, it would actually liven up the game again, and maybe jsut maybe get pugs started again or give guild groups a good time at something new
But it might be hard to implement because it would be a lot of work on the Dev's side, but hopefully they at least will consider^^

I rate this as one of the best suggestions I've seen here in a long, long time. I think it would be tons of fun!

Gives us something to do after beating the campaigns instead of mindless farming.

Thanks for all the replies, didn't expect this much support

I love the idea, and the one drawback is really just as much a marketing tool for getting everyone in a guild as there could be. They would not be storyline required quests, just optional fun things, like the BMP. But people that dont have halls, it is called "Guild" War

/signed, more quests, the better. As long as you can take your time completing them, I'm in.

nice idea, but it wouldn't be introduced before GW2 imo, it'd be a GW2 feature, which is a shame.

A fun way to work on maxing rep titles for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc chars, plus a little extra cash and loot is always good
