Well duh but that doesn't prevent people from doing it.

I mean clearly it isnt an illegal practice, but personally I think it is pretty lame. Even worse/funnier, is that once they get the invite and joined, they could always get booted. What can the person say? He booted me after I joined the guild? Sucks and lame, but probably neither are against the rules.

Is it ok to sell invites? Sure.
Are the people that sell them pathetic? Yup.
Do the people that buy them have a high IQ? 0 chances of that.
Time to put a driving cat pic on the thread? Absolutely.

I would never pay to be in Guild, but there is nothing against the practice.
Every guild has it's own goals, culture, and lifespan. If your the leader or in leadership, by all means go for it. It will turn away many players opposed to the idea (myself among them) but it's the players choice if they wish to pay or not.

If peopel want to have them let them have it.
does it make them better? no
its just like vanity armor, were you sacrifice a guild you like for a guild with gold trim that you may like for a fee.

The fact is there are tons of pvers in this game that dont care about pvp and 100k to them is crap. If you cant buy anything els why not have a gold cape trim. You all make a bid deal out of nothing.

i don't see any problem with selling an invite...except that there isn't a guarantee that you will actually GET the invite after paying. not that i would ever pay over 100g for an invite into a guild, but if i was going to, i'd worry about scammage.

Fine, if people want to sit around selling guild invites for days on end, good for them. I personally couldn't care less. It doesn't effect me in the slightest. I won't be buying an invite, if my guild wins something prestigious like that, all well and good, but I'm not going to try and buy something like that.
If your e-ego makes you want to buy your way into a good looking guild, well that certainly says something about your character (character character, not toon character)

Hell,if I was the leader.
I'd be selling invites left and right,of course they wouldn't be officers but trust me making 400k in about 30 minutes definatly sounds good.
